2. Usage
Corresponds best to English:
“I have done something” - implied is very recent up until now.
e.g. Me he acostado temprano!
I've gone to bed early!
Note – NEVER put anything in between the auxiliary haber and the past
participle!
Note – usage may vary regionally with regard to when it is used and when we
use the Preterite. Play safe and use the perfect when you want to talk about
a very recent action that you would use the “have” construction in English
for.
3. Formation
Use the present form of haber + past
participle of the verb!
Past participle for ar verbs: -ado
Past participle for er/ir verbs: - ido
He hablado hemos viajado
Has comido habéis trabajado
Ha vivido han salido
4. Irregulars
Bad news: More than 3.
Good news: They are irregular only in the
past participle, and that can be learned
easily. Start drilling now!
