Unpardonable Sin
1. Unpardonable Sin First lets talk about the word unpardonable. Unpardonable means impossible to excuse, pardon, or justify also another word for it is unforgiveable.
2. Unpardonable Sin When I say unpardonable sin some people may think about Mark 3:22-30 and Matthew 12:22-32. As it says in Mark 3:28-29 “I tell you the truth, all the sins and blasphemies of men will be forgiven them. But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; he is guilty of an eternal sin.” As it says ALL sins will be forgiven. People get confused when it says blasphemes against the Holy Spirit.
3. Blasphemes against the Holy Spirit In Matthew 12:31 in this chapter Jesus was showing proof that he was doing miracles with the power of the Holy Spirit. Pharisees claimed that it was not the Holy Spirit ,but that he was possessed by the demon Beelzebub. The accusation against Jesus was the blasphemy. Another example would be lying to the Holy Spirit as in Acts 5:1-10 .
4. No sin is unforgivable Since Jesus died on the cross and is not in flesh with us we can not commit the same sins any more. The only sin we can do now that would fall under this is not believing or what some people may call unbelief. As it says in John 14:6 “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” So to reject the only way to get to the father is the only unpardonable sin. Once you accept the lord into your life and believe in Jesus then you are free of this.
5. Last Thoughts There are so many people out their that think they committed a sin that can not be forgiven. Some even think they are so broken there is no hope for them. I wish you send this to them and let them realize no matter what there is people out their and with their help and the help of Jesus nothing is impossible.
