Confucius grew up a sheltered prince in
a castle, living a luxurious life, oblivious

renounced his royal ways to travel

to listen to him and adapt his
philosophy.

listen to him, he was resigned to

the path to enlightenment, and they
passed on that knowledge to create the
moral philosophy known as
Confucianism.

3. Those who followed Confucianism
didn’t have a place of worship.
Instead of worshipping Gods or other deities, they worked to improve their lives
by ridding themselves of longing.
Followers of this philosophy believed that once one has ceased wanting for any
material thing, they shall achieve true happiness.
This heightened state of mind was referred to as enlightment; the transcendence
of humanity and ascension into pure bliss.

order to achieve enlightenment.
Once a person has achieved
enlightenment, they may choose to
educate others in order to spread
the teachings and ways of
Confucius.
