11. The way the flowers are being held suggest a bridal bouquet. The spectator immediately questions the reason why the previous clips seem to show abandonment The way that the screen centres the flowers suggest their importance in symbolising events that have or have not taken place. The flowers, linked with the other props, reinforce the idea of celebration, however, the use of weather and indeed colour suggest that something has happened to destroy the celebration
12. Position of character on the screen is also important. She is not directly facing us though is at the fore front of the screen, forcing the audience to witness her pain Facial expression, body posture and eye contact play a large role in creating meaning for the spectator in this scene. Her facial expression is one of disbelief/shock reinforced by the slackness of her face. Although shadow and lighting fall under cinematography it is important to recognise the use of shadow both on her face and around her. There is a suggestion of falling into dark time.
