DIABETES MAY BE LINKED?
 In California they have done research that shows that if you
have or develop type 2 Diabetes or High Blood Pressure during
pregnancy you have a higher risk to have a child with autism
or other development disabilities .
 29% of children with Autism have mothers who had high blood
pressure or other metabolic conditions during pregnancy.

3. HIGH GLUCOSE AFFECT BRAIN
DEVELOPMENT ?
 Researchers have found that high sugar levels during
pregnancy could af fect brain development in babies.
 Should you be concerned ?
 It has not yet been proven that this true but the study have
shown that there is a good chance that glucose may af fect
babies brains .

4. DIABETES MAY CAUSE AUTISM AND
OTHER DEVELOPMENT DISORDERS?
 Among the kids whose mothers had diabetes during
pregnancy 9.3% had Autism.
 In the research group 35% of kids with mother that had
metabolic condition had a development disorder.
