3. 1982
I was only 21 when I
graduated in English in
a small town inside São
Paulo.
At that time I really
wanted to do a course of
Translator and
Interpreter, so I came to
live in São Paulo. But the
course was very
expensive, then I started
to work as a secretary.
4. 1983
While I tried to raise
money to do the course I
decided to do a course
Cultura Inglesa school
and studied there for 5
years.
5. 1984/2008
• For a long time I tried to work
as a teacher but the pay was
too low for beginners and I
gave up. But I didn´t stop to
study English.
• I thought to myself:
one day I´ll be an english
teacher…
6. 2009
Only in 2009 I started
working as a teacher and
I had many difficulties in
the begin.
I was always asking me
how I am teaching, if my
teaching methods are
satisfactory, how can I
improve the way of
teaching, etc.
7. 2011
In order to improve my teaching methods I did Specialization for
Teachers of English Language by UNESP - Redefor
8. 2012
• Sometimes, after the
Specialization Course, I felt
frustrated because I would like
to use more technologies in the
classroom, but in the schools
where I worked I couldn´t use it
because there wasn´t
equipments in conditions.
• I was always thinking how my
classes would be more
interesting if I could use a
projector or computers, etc.
9. 2013
• During this course (LEM – O
ensino de Inglês nos dias
atuais) I changed some
concepts. When I heard the
speech of Michele Gordon Active Learning with Oral
Production in the classroom
and Teacher Wagner Veillard –
Reading and Writing, as well as
the experiences we shared with
others teachers, I realized that
with creativity and little
resources is possible teaching
English in the public schools.
10. Nowadays...
Of course, nowadays, I
have some difficulties in
the classroom, but the
tips I learned in this
course and the ideas we
shared with each
others, led me to
questions:
How can I use this
tips in my classes?
How can I do
possible adaptations?
How can I get the
interest of my students?
11. 2014, 2015, 2016...
Next year I'm sure that all experiences will
contribute in my practices and I want to improve
my fluency in English.
