Hold birthday parties and special events: if may not seem like a big
deal to remember birthdays and such, but it is. People feel as if you
care about them and the event taking place in their lives, which makes
them want to be a part of the team. People who feel accepted and part
of a team work harder and produce better results than people who feel
left out and alone. Try to celebrate these events with the whole
company, this way there is no separation between the staff.
Take an afternoon: Taking the time for an afternoon a month, can help
build office relations. If you can go outside and play field games or
other bonding games. This will give your staff a break while still working
with the team. This time together without the office politic is a great
way for people to see each other in a new light. The teams can be
chosen with office politics in mind, if certain team member do not get
along, put them together and let me work on resolving any issues.

Hold a Staff picnic: This can be done annually or monthly. Usually done
outside of work hours, and families are welcome. This is a great way for
people to interact in a different way. Perhaps new friendships can be
formed from family ties. It is also something that will create a more
upbeat and communicative work place. These picnics can hold team
building events and games, making them doubly important.
These are very simple things to do, that mean a lot to people. These
simple events and activities will bond your team in a way that no office
could. The reason that people enjoy these team building experiences is
because they are carefree and unstructured. If you make team building
into work, people will feel less inclined to take part. Team building
activities for the workplace that people will enjoy are basic every day
events that make a team feel closer to one another.
