This document summarizes a follow up training session for teachers on using new technology provided by a grant. The session focused on coaching teachers to discuss what is working, current challenges, next steps, and needed support for using tools like SMART notebooks, laptops, and software in their classrooms. Teachers met in subject groups and took turns coaching each other using conversation prompts. They discussed strategies, resources, and goals and wrote notes on collaboration sheets. Allow 30 minutes for us (Steve, Charles, and Tezella) to talk and explain. Then allow up to one hour for them to collaborate and talk. Then… allow the last 30 minutes for them to share their charts with the larger group.

Teachers move to various areas of the room to get into groups according to what they teach.
Teachers work as a larger group (subject area groups) to create charts.
This is how the charts will look for each group. With the different subjects at the top. Remind them to put each person’s name and school name on the back of the charts. WE keep these charts at the end. This becomes our data to work with and address.
