This was probably our biggest turnout ever! Thank
you for being amazing and so spirited.
4. Upcoming Events
Not for points, but still worth your time.

Next weekend, all weekend
We are not attending as a group because it’s in Amarillo

• Attending half of you family’s events = 1 point

7. Apply for a Scholarship
Earn some cash for being an awesome member.
Vice President – Ram
• Application is available online and must be completed by
Friday 11/4 at 11:59pm. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
• We will give out scholarships primarily based on your
involvement in TPS. If there are other factors you’d like us to
consider (financial burden, etc) feel free to include them.
• 1 upperclassman will win $200 and 2 underclassmen will
win $100
• You MUST be present at the last meeting in order to win.
We will have alternates ready.
8. Dues
You get what you pay for.
Dues are PAST DUE! Please pay today or bring them to the
next TPS event you attend.
Treasurer – Jason
Dues will be $65 for the year. This includes:
• A sweet tee shirt
• Access to our shadowing program
• Admission to all socials
• The year-end banquet
You can also pay $40 for just the semester.
Not paying dues will prevent you from participating in
socials or community service activities with limited space
9. A quick note about points…
• If you sign up for a limited space event – social or
community service – and do not show up, you will lose a
point
– This includes volleyball! If you need to skip once because you
have a big test the next day it’s okay, but you should really only
be signed up if you will be there every Sunday!
• Why? Someone else could have had that spot and come
closer to achieving their desired membership level
• You have up until 2 days before an event to back out, no
questions asked, no exceptions made

• We are limited to 40 members

12. Community Service – Bridget Upcoming One-Time Events
Donate your time to help someone else.
• Join in carnival fun at FALL HARVEST FESTIVAL!
• Sunday 10/23 at YMCA North Park
• Only 4:30-7pm shift is left
• Teach kids about the horrors of Halloween candy* at
LONGHORN HALLOWEEN!
• Sunday 10/30 from 1:30-5:30 at the Erwin Center
• Shifts: 1:30-3, 3-5:30
• We will give candy to kids once they show us how to brush
their teeth! Plus other fun stuff.
• Come dressed in a dental-themed costume! Tooth fairy,
plaque monster, just scrubs, anything!

Donate your time to help someone else.
• Please continue to attend your weekly commitments
• Remember to have your supervisor sign the
attendance check sheet with your days and times!
14. TPS Newsletter
Keep dental schools up-to-date with what we’re doing.
Public Relations – Sierra
• Submit an article idea to Sierra for approval. If you
get the green light, write a short article for a PR point!
• The deadline to submit an article idea for the
Nov/Dec newsletter will be sometime in the middle of
November
15. Flyering and Photos
Make sure UT knows that we’re here.
Public Relations – Sierra
• Opportunities to post fliers around campus,
especially in science-y buildings, will be announced
periodically on Facebook and only there
• Take photos of any event(s), print 5 on photo paper,
give them to Sierra, get a point!

“SIGNUPS” tab as well as on the homepage, and will
appear online at approximately 10pm after meetings
