The HuD Group launched a charity project called LEAD-PRENEUR at the Pantang Drug Treatment and Rehabilitation Centre. The project aims to inculcate leadership skills and stimulate entrepreneurship among residents to help with their rehabilitation and reintegration into society. It provides vocational skills training, an in-house library, motivational counseling, computers and ICT lessons, and start-up funding for residents who complete the program. The HuD Group undertook this project to complement the rehabilitation center's programs, as government funding alone has been insufficient to meet all their needs.

2nd Quarter PR, 2014
1. The 11th anniversary of The HuD Group
Ghana was marked by launching a charity
project. LEAD-PRENEUR PROJECT at the
Pantang Drug Treatment and Rehabilitation
Centre.
This Drug Treatment Rehabilitation Centre is
a unit of the Pantang Hospital that offers a
Therapeutic Community program to persons
with addiction to various drugs (both illicit
and prescriptions drugs eg. cannabis, heroine,
pethidine, alcohol etc) in order to wean them
off the addiction and restore them to func-
tion without dependence on these drugs. The
facility was commissioned on the 9th of Sep-
tember 2009 with 1 resident and has since
admitted a little over 140 residents out of
which 45 residents were not able to complete
the treatment program. It offers a well super-
vised residential program that last for
6-8months depending on the needs of the
resident. It is a 30 bed capacity with 20 for
males and 10 for females
In spite of the good work the program man-
agers were doing with the young residents,
they still had many needs required to comple-
ment the quality of it’s rehab program. Over
the years, the government has been the sole
source of funding to the hospital and these
funds received—mainly for feeding, clothing
and medication—are always insufficient.
It is against this background that The HuD
Group undertook the LEADPRENEUR
CHARITY PROJECT which is geared at
inculcating personal leadership traits and
stimulating entrepreneurial drive in the resi-
dents. The project provides five (5) key inter-
ventions
