Opening PhotoBooth Movies in iMovie

2. From the basic PhotoBooth window click
the movie capture button

3. Click the
Effects button
When it tells you to
move out of the frame

effects includes frame for best results!

4. The fourth button lets you add your own backdrops
Drag and drop from iPhoto or the desktop

6. The movie you record will end up in the tray at the bottom
Click on it to play it
When you do this the Email and
iPhoto buttons also appear
Click iPhoto to send this movie to iPhoto -
this will make it easy to find in iMovie

7. iPhoto will open if it is not already open
Your movie will be imported

8. Open iMovie
If iMovie is already open, close it and re-open
This refreshes the iPhoto movies you can see in iMovie
If iMovie asks you to do this - click Now

9. Your movie will appear in ‘iPhoto Videos’
which is in the Event Library
