Specialist Engineering Systems (SES) was founded in 2006 by
George Pollard and has since been crafting precision engineered
components primarily for Gas and Oil and Coal.
Starting out with a small handful of skilled Engineers and
Planners, Mr. Pollard was able to hone the quality standards and
as the company grew, train staff to comply with SES's stringent
requirements. Careful attention was paid to hiring a qualified
team of Engineers with well over 30 years of experience servicing
the industry.

We supply a diverse range of CNC Turned, Milled and Ground
components. Our product range includes well over 1300
components which are manufactured using high strength exotic
materials to handle the intense stresses of the environment.
Technology and quality are emphasised in the manufacturing of all
CNC components for the Gas & Oil, Coal & Mining, Aerospace,
Automotive and Commercial Industries.
MANUFACTURE:
SES has a complete range of manufacturing capabilities including 5-axis
Machining, High Precision Lathes, In-house Centreless Grinding, a Spark
Erosion facility and a temperature controlled Inspection department.
Additionally SES can undertake Wire Erosion, Honing, Deep Hole
Drilling, Heat Treatment and Plating processes.

Your project is led by highly qualified and committed engineers with
extensive experience ensuring costs and quality goals are delivered on time.
MATERIALS HANDLING CAPABILITY:
Parts are made from a variety of materials and SES understands the
challenges require specialized tooling and operator training to ensure
dimensional requirements are met. Some of our exotic materials
handling capabilities are working with: Beryllium Copper, Toughmet,
Titanium, Inconel, Stainless Steel, Mild Steels, Aluminium, Colsibro,
Brass and Plastics.

CAPABILITIES
SES Ltd provide a complete manufacturing service incorporating full
project management from order acceptance to job delivery and the
latest and most advanced CNC Machinery, many of which are multi-
tasking allowing minimised lead times to be achieved. We also have
assembly/test facilities, a designated Deburr department and our
temperature controlled highly advanced Inspection Department.
We can manufacture 'small' parts from 1mm in diameter up to
'medium' sized parts ranging from 150mm in diameter, or 'larger'
parts up to 658mm diameter.
We can accept customer data in numerous formats for use in our
Indie CAM/CAD CAM systems and we run our manufacturing using
the latest MRP software system permitting optimum manufacturing
control, from job costing to scheduling and capacity planning.
A multi-purpose turn and mill centre with automatic tool change
(witha40toolstore)andrepresentscompletecombinationbetween
a lathe and a machining centre. The turn mill driven unit allows
superb chip removal, inclined turning, milling, boring and tapping
operations. It's equipped with a powerful sub-spindle 24kw and
torque 334Nm to allow complete machining of the component.

SES has the years of experience working with a range of alloys and
raw materials, ensuring quality through inspection and deliverables.
Quality has become the measurement we consistently deliver
on, maintaining client's expectation through achieving BS EN
9001:2008 since 2009!
Due to the complexity of design to tolerate a range of temperature
environments and high loads, part tolerances are held to a very high
standard. This requires a high level of machine operator skill and
quality guidelines. All parts go through a quality inspection system
that ensures process capability is sufficient, as well as monitoring
key characteristics to maintain consistent part quality. Each Job
that leaves our company has been through stringent quality control
checks from Material batch traceability and inter-operation first offs,
these checks are performed by qualified personnel using the latest
CMM inspection techniques. The following up-to-date Inspection
equipment is used to ensure that our zero reject policy is upheld:
