1. THE PYRE

2. Scene 1
INT. ABANDONED BUILDING - NIGHT
A young girl slowly walks across the corridor of
her old school. As she wanders past her old
classrooms, she recalls moments from her past and
wonders how she got to this moment. Loud creaks
followed by muffled voices appear to come from the
entrance of the building, scaring her away for a
moment.
Three young boys enter the corridor. Two of the
boys turn on their torches and shine them across
the corridor.
BEN
…And supposedly, she haunts this building (turns
camera to mark)to this very day.
MARK
(Faces his torch down the corridor)guys I don’t
think we’re allowed to be here.
DOUG
(Turns camera to mark) What’s wrong? Scared
ofAdena?
MARK
No (pushes camera away from him)i-its just…its
getting late and it’s a long walk back and…
BEN
(Interrupting Mark) you’re a pussy?
Ben and Doug start laughing at Mark.
A small thud is made from the end of the corridor.
MARK
Guys, cut it out, you’re not funny.
The boys flash their torches while they continue
walking carefully down the corridor
BEN
I heard that she walks down these corridors,
endlessly waiting for her revenge

3. Ben continues down the corridor, Mark and Doug stop
and watch him. Ben stops on the spot Adena was last
seen at.
BEN
See? Nothing to worry about.
Ben turns around and is face to face with Adena.
