2. Greenhouse gas
Greenhouse effect
Earth absorbing and reflecting some solar
radiation
Sun’s rays enter the Earth’s atmosphere
Heat is reflected back from the Earth’s
surface
Heat is absorbed by carbon dioxide
(greenhouse gas) and as a result becomes
trapped in the Earth’s atmosphere
The Earth becomes hotter as a result
3. Results of global warming
A rise of just a few degrees in world temperatures will have a dramatic impact on
the climate:
Global weather patterns will change, causing drought in some places and
flooding in others.
Melting of polar ice caps will raise sea levels, causing increased coastal erosion
and flooding of low-lying land – including land where major cities lie.
But there might be some beneficial effects too. There could be extra carbon
dioxide in the atmosphere and higher temperatures might increase the rate of
photosynthesis in some parts of the world. So that means higher yields could be
gained from the crops.
4. Causes of Global Warming
The issues that cause global warming are divided into two categories include "natural"
and "human influences" of global warming.
NATURAL CAUSES:
*The climate has continuously changing for centuries as the global warming happens
because of the rotation of the sun that changes the intensity of sunlight and moves
closer to the earth.
*Another cause of global warming is greenhouse gases which are carbon dioxide and
sulphur dioxide that is trap in the solar heats rays and prevent it from escaping from
the surface of the earth. His make temperature increase.
5. *Volcanic eruptions are another issue that causes this.
*Methane is another issue that causes global warming. Methane is also a greenhouse
gas.
HUMAN INFLUENCE:
*First issue is industrial revolution. Industrial have been using fossil fuels for power
machines. Everything that we use is involved in fossil fuel. During the process of
production carbon dioxide is releasing to the atmosphere.
*Another issue is mining. During the process of mining, the methane will trap below the
earth.
*Deforestation: Human have been cutting down trees to produce papers, wood, build
houses or more. If human continuing deforestation, carbon dioxide will concentrate in the
atmosphere because trees can absorb carbon dioxide from atmosphere.

7. Solutions for global warming
-Reduce emissions
-reduce the rubbish we throw away
-Stop deforestation
(removes carbon dioxide from the air)
-Prepare for impacts
