2. Concept & Objectives
• To promote socio economic development in the KP province through income & employment
generation via micro credit assistance for fostering small scale technical enterprises targeting the
technically skilled youth of the society.

– Overall social & financial inclusion of the disadvantaged segments of the society through

3. Loan Size Criteria
•Loan Type: Micro Interest Free Loans
•Loan Size:
– Rs. 100,000 – 1,000,000/-
•Repayment:
Up to 500,000/- repayment period is 03 years
Above 500,000/- repayment period is 05 years

4. Target Areas
• All Districts of KP:
– Vocationally trained (Certification)
– Informally trained youth
– Technical Colleges graduates (Diploma / Degree holders)
– Youth graduated from HEC accredited universities
• Maximum 50 beneficiaries in each District (1st
Phase)
• Total expected beneficiaries: 1,400 (Approx.)

5. Eligibility Criteria
• A permanent resident of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
• Having a valid CNIC
• Age Limit: 18-40
• First Come First Serve Basis
• Potential beneficiary should have a do-able business idea relevant to the skills to start
new business or extend the existing setups
• Business must be located in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
• Not an employee of any Government or Semi-Government or Autonomous body
• Not a regular student
• Not a loan defaulter or not a recipient of any other such facility of the Provincial
Government.
• The loan shall be secured by two personal guarantees (At least one guarantor shall be a
Provincial Govt. employee not less than BPS-14).
• The loan to be repaid by the borrower in equal monthly installments. 5
6. Process Flow
• Application form will be available from the designated BOK branches of KP as well as from
Industries Department, BOK and IM|Sciences’ websites.
• Assessment/ initial scrutiny at branch level and physical verification via field officers of BOK to
verify the business premises/ residence and credit worthiness of the applicant by using already defined
banking tools i.e. interview, field visit proforma etc.
• The completed form in all respects will be submitted to the BOK HO for final scrutiny, BOK HO will
conduct interviews to select the applicants with viable business ideas/ plans.
• Verification of Testimonials (Certificated/ Diplomas/ Degrees) from concerned authorities.
• The recommended and verified cases will be referred to IM|Sciences for analysis of business plan and
to provide enterprise management training programs to applicants having viable business ideas/ plans.
• Scrutiny by IM|Sciences and BOK will be placed before the Approval committee.
• Disbursement by the BOK.
• Monitoring & Recovery by the BOK.

7. Role of IM|Sciences
• Developing and submission of business plan template and guide lines.
• Developing of Data collection instrument for pre and post assessments.
• Analysis of business plan, Training Need Assessment (TNA).
• Provide enterprise management training programs to selected applicants having viable
business ideas/ plans.
• Helpline to be established at IM Sciences for providing advisory services.
8. Funds Allocation & Costing
• Funds Required: PKR 1 Billion For all districts of the KP as per Government policy
• Costing: (Executing Agencies)
The Bank of Khyber: At 4% Service Charges on allocated amount upfront.
Recovery/ collection fee will be charged @ 1.5% on outstanding amounts.
IM|Sciences: 3.5% charges

Male: 65% Female: 30% Special (Disable & Transgender): 05%
