This document provides updates on several studies related to Porcine Epidemic Diarrhea Virus (PEDv). The studies include a lateral spread study investigating the transmission of PEDv between infected and neighboring farms, a production impact study analyzing the effect of PEDv on piglet production, and a time-to-stability study measuring the time required for farms to be considered stable after a PEDv infection. Preliminary results from the lateral spread study identified 22 infected farms and progress in enrolling neighbors. The production impact study found an average loss of 1688 piglets per 1000 sows over 3.9 weeks. For the time-to-stability study, one farm reached stability at 18 weeks post-infection.
