Emerson and Liam are concluding
their animal study. We talked about
birds, fish, reptiles, amphibians and
mammals.
Our grade 4 boys have just begun a
unit on simple machines: wheels and
axles, inclined planes, pulleys, levers
and wedges. They are having fun
creating their own machines and doing
experiments.
The Grade 4 boys have finished their
second novel, Stone Fox. Our next
novel is Indian in the Cupboard.
These boys like to read.
We are just starting to create a Saturna

While the rest of us worry about
frozen pipes, slippery road and power
outages, the kids at Saturna School
have a great time in the newly fallen
snow. They had fun working
together to make a fort.
Snow Days
In case of snow please decide for
yourself if it is safe to transport your
child to school. We will make every
effort to get to the school and will
phone you if we are unable.
