This document is created to be used in an on-line teaching course of Southeast Asian Studies. This course is offered only to a group of wonderful students of Lodi High School, Wisconsin, USA.

1. Assessment
Your grade will be assessed according to the following:
1. Assignments and unit quizzes 35%
2. Research Project (Trip to SEA) 15% (see Rubrics)
3. Research Project (US foreign policy on SEA) 15% (see Rubrics)
4. Participation Grade/ Attitudes 15% (see Rubrics)
5. Final Exam 20%

2. Assessment for Research Project
“Planning a Trip to Southeast Asian Countries”
The assessment of this research project will be divided into two parts: your
traveling plan to SEA countries (60%), and your presentation quality (40%)
1. Traveling Plan (60%)
For your traveling plan, you will be evaluated throughout the course of 7 weeks
using ‘Working Process Rubrics’ which includes the following points
1. Participating in research activity in the computer lab
2. Presenting ideas and counseling with KruTukeon a research time in the computer
lab every (usually Friday).
3. Writing a journal that covers all of the following points
1. Detail information of your plan (different points for each week)
2. Reasons for your decision (cost and/or time constraint, personal interests,
limited alternatives, etc.)
3. A list of least 4 sources for your citation
4. Emailing your journal to KruTuke (tuke.ingkhaninan@gmail.com) and Mr. Massey
by 8 pm on the following Sunday.
2. Presentation (40%)
Your presentation will be evaluated using ‘Rubrics for Presentation” provided.
