•To undertake, promote and encourage activities such as conferences, seminar, workshops, meetings, forum, etc. for the advancement of libraries and library profession

To foster cooperation and establish close liaison with government authorities, members of the public and other professions.
To strive towards regulating the practice of librarianship by effecting a Code of Ethics and the registration of members

Topurchase,acquireandownpropertyforthebenefitofPPMwiththeprovisothattheAssociationshallnotdeveloporturntoaccountanyinterestinsuchpropertyforcommercialpurposes.
