Why We Should Abortion Be Illegal
Imagine if a baby was killed right in front of your eyes. This is essentially what is happening
during abortion. Abortion should be illegal because innocent babies are being killed. Others may
say that abortion should be legal, so that women who have been raped and conceived a child may
get rid of the reminder of their raping. The answer to this is simple. The mother can give the baby
up for adoption. Many people in the world are looking to adopt kids because they are not able to
have kids of their own.
Abortion is wrong because it is essentially murder. "Abortion is wrong because we are killing our
completely innocent offspring" says Josiah. All unborn babies are innocent and women should not
be given the choice to kill them. Abortion should be...show more content...
They do this because they know most women would react differently after they completely
understood that they were killing another human being. "Often used are dehumanizing phrases such
as 'clump of tissue' or 'product of conception' used specifically to mask the fact that the mother will
be killing her child. Giving false medical information is another common tactic. And it's all designed
to rob the unborn baby of his or her inherent humanity" said Cassy Fiano. It is wrong to give false
medical information because the mother should fully understand the consequences of their actions.
They should know they're killing a baby.
Many people may think that abortion should be legal because people should have choice. People
say that in certain circumstances that the mother may get raped and conceive a child. The answer
to that is simple, give the baby up for adoption. In the end there should never be a choice for
anyone to kill another human being. There is no choice for killing anyone else, and it should
especially be enforced during abortion because the mothers are killing their

Abortion : Legal Or Illegal?

English
"Abortion: Legal or Illegal?" Prior to the famous Roe vs. Wade case in 1973, abortion was legal in
20 states and illegal in the remaining 30. After the case, the Supreme Court decided to legalize
abortion. By definition, abortion is "the termination of a pregnancy after, accompanied by, resulting
in, or closely followed by the death of the embryo or fetus." Other terminology, such as pro–life, is
defined as "opposed to abortion," while pro–choice is "believing that pregnant women should have
the right to choose to have an abortion." Abortion is an extremely controversial topic with such
extreme opposing views that it can never reach a satisfying consensus for all citizens. Whether
abortion should be legal or not because it mostly comes down to one's opinion and morals, which
vary from person to person. The two opposing views have a lot of support for their reasoning behind
their opinions, but the main gist of it is that pro–choice believers think that making abortion illegal is
unfair and unjust because that takes away a woman's freedom to make her own choices. On the
other hand, pro–life believers think that an abortion is equivalent to murder and that since the
mother is able to make a decision to kill her baby, the law should be the baby's voice and decide to
stay alive. With thorough research, I dove deeper into this topic and tried to come to a conclusion
as to whether or not abortion should be legal or illegal. To begin my research,

Why Abortion Should Be Illegal
While abortion is currently legal in the United States, ideologically, it should not be legal as it is
considered to many a cruel and unjust malpractice. Not only is it morally wrong to abort a child
due to it being a sin for those with religious beliefs, but it also involves other issues like the safety of
a woman's body. However, those who are pro–choice on abortion indicate that since it is the
woman's body, one deserves to have the right on deciding whether to have the child or not as they
are aware of the consequences before making a decision. In many cases, a woman who aborts has
a legitimate reason as to why she made that decision: it may range from rape to not earning
enough income in order to raise a child. Ultimately, those are just pitiful excuses that don't give
enough reasoning. There are many alternatives on aborting a child such as giving the baby up for
adoption to a family who will love and nurture the baby or giving the parental right to a trustworthy
family member knowing it will remain in good hands. Consequences post abortion include not only
the thought of disposing of the fetus in such a cruel way remaining in your conscious forever, but
also one going through severe depression and the risk of the woman's health decreasing at a high
rate. Many time, money, and hospital space is being wasted doing the practice of abortion without
any care of things that can go wrong. The baby isn't the only one suffering, so is the

Essay about Abortion Should Be Illegal
As a young petrified woman sits in the delicate comforting oversized chairs at the deathly abortion
clinic, her foot taps anxiously out of control as her heart pumps the blood rapidly through her veins.
The energized brain in haste flashes with all of the complications that may happen during this
abortion process. As her eyes dart back and forth looking all around the bland room as if everything
is standing still, she worries about the abortion which will be taking place any single moment,. This
young woman has a major abundance of stress and choices to formulate about her unspoken
significant baby before going through with the life changing abortion. An abortion as defined in

During an abortion procedure, the doctor will use many sharp and could resolve to use not sterilized
instruments to penetrate the fetus in the result to free the baby. During this time the doctor could
puncture organs, making the woman have serious problems resulting with issues within her whole
body. If the doctor does puncture other organs instead of the fetus, complications can be major.
"Some of these complications can be immediately spotted, such as a puncture to the uterus or other
organs, convulsions, or cardiac arrest. Other complications reveal themselves within a few days, such
as a slow hemorrhage, pulmonary embolisms, infection, and fever. Still other complications are
long–term in nature, usually the result of damage to the reproductive system, and may result in
chronic infection, an inability to carry a subsequent pregnancy to term, or sterility" (Cozic and
Tipp, 195). If the sharp instruments do not perforate the organs it could still scrape or pierce the
outer layer of the organs, causing bleeding and infection inside the woman (Marcovitz, 85). Other
than the infections that can result due to the scraping and puncturing during the abortion, the doctor
could even leave limbs or other body parts of the growing baby inside of the woman. "Another risk
of D&E is that tiny parts of fetal bones may be left behind in the uterus, also potentially causing tears
or infections" (Marcovitz, 85). There are many frightening

Abortion Should Not Be Illegal Essay
Abortion is widely debated across the world and in 1973 Roe v. Wade would start an issue with
ethical and legal issues. There are multiple cases arguing why it should or shouldn't be lawful to
go through with this procedure. Women should have the right to get an abortion as It is her
rights to decide if they aren't able to be able have a child, the woman shouldn't have to rely on
anyone else, she should be able to make this decision as they have to carry it for 9 months and
endure the physical pain. Abortion should not be illegal because it is justifiable in cases of rape,
or when the woman has mental health or financial issues. In the case of rape, it is unjustifiable to
say that a woman has to carry a baby when she is forced into intercourse with a man who the
woman does not please. For those who say that abortion is so inhumane, why doesn't one simply
look at the act of rape as disgusting as someone would look at abortion. The victim is going
through enough being forced without choice to have a child if she consumes, so why make her
carry the baby for 9 months knowing that the perpetrator has given her this child. I don't think that
the women should have to be mentally viable for this child or have to take care of a child that is
forced upon her own will. Having a child hurts very much, why put a victim of rape through more
pain then she has to endure? Abortion isn't illegal in other countries for more serious issues why
should America make it illegal? Someone with mental

Abortions are not an easy topic to discuss, ,many think it is competley unethical while others agree
that it should be the mother's choice on what she wants to do. However, these were thoughts on the
early pregnancy stage. Doctors now have been giving abortions in the late pregnancy stages as well
as the early stages. "Late–term abortion refers to the termination of a pregnancy during its more
advanced stages" (Bellaro). If only the debate on whether abortion should be legal or illegal was as
easily defined. While no law is in place that limits the access to abortion in general, in 2003, the
Partial–Birth Abortion Ban Act became the first piece of federal legislation to regulate a particular
abortion method (Kolenc). Those who oppose the Partial–Birth Abortion Ban Act argue that it
jeopardizes the health and safety of the mother. They claim that partial birth abortions are less
risky than some of the other methods. It may also produce a great amount of stress on the mother
because it makes it harder to receive a late term abortion without this method. Nonetheless, all of
these procedures that take place for an abortion are proven health risks. They can be very harmful
to the mother and cause severe pain to the fetus. Since all abortion bans presented to the courts have
been arbitrary as to which procedures they prohibit, many doctors and patients have found loopholes
to get around them. For many years, abortion was illegal and considered a form of homicide. Then,

Should Abortion Be Legal Or Illegal? Essay
Introduction Abortion is a debatable question that has been argued over a long period of time. The
controversy of abortion has caused or may cause deaths and several violent conflicts between,
should abortion be legal or illegal. Abortion is one of the most common medical procedures
performed worldwide also known as elective termination of pregnancy (History,2016). Abortion is
the destruction of the fetus or unborn child while the child is still in the mother's womb. This
procedure can be done almost anyone from the mother herself to back alley, most common, abortion
clinics. More than 40% of all women will end a pregnancy by abortion and remains common in the
US. But the questions is should abortion be legal or illegal? History Abortion is a preparation for the
termination of a pregnancy, which known since ancient times. There have been various methods
used to perform an abortion of pregnancy, including the administration of abortifacient herbs, the use
of sharpened implements, the application of abdominal pressure, and other techniques. Abortion was
meant to control traditional child–bearing role. Previously, the United States, followed the common
law of England permitted abortions before the fetus "quickened."(Lowen,2016) Quickening is a term
used to describe the mother 's first sensation of the fetus moving in her uterus. Different cultures,

Want to know the quickest way to divide a room? Bring up this subject, should abortion be legal,
or illegal. Abortion to me, should not be illegal; furthermore, my belief is that religion shouldn't be
a deciding factor in aborting a pregnancy and the opinion of others shouldn't have anything to do
with it either. Let people do what they want and what is best for them, don't let your belief affect
others and don't force your beliefs on them. People wont live their own lives, they want to make the

How would you feel if someone had the right to choose whether you live or die? How would you
feel if you can't speak up and say whether you want to live or not? How would you feel if you can't
do anything to save your life? Millions of human beings around the world, experience that. Women
abort their babies every single day, but they don't realize that they have taken a life away. They have
committed murder for selfish reasons, as Alveda King said, "..Abortion and racism stem from the
same poisonous root, selfishness". I believe that abortion should be illegal because you are taking
away the life of a human being. There is absolutely no reason for women to abort babies as a
solution to their problems.

The Issue Of Abortion Should Be Illegal
Some people say that abortion should be illegal. Some people say that abortion should be legal when
women's life are endangered. Whereas others say that abortion should accept in some circumstances.
This topic is still a controversial issue now in the world. Although the technology is advanced in
modern society, women could nurture the fetus outside their womb, it does not mean abortion is safe
now. It might be have a lower risk of death than before, but abortion still hurts women's health and
emotions. In general, abortion could be a way of birth control and it also is a personal right for
women, yet, abortion is murder which kills living life; it destroys woman's fetus that could no
longer be pregnant in the future; it also makes women depressive,

Abortion should be illegal due to the facts that that it causes psychological issues to develop while
damaging many relationships and families. Not only is abortion throwing away an innocent child's
life, it often wastes the life of a mother as well. Women are 250% more likely to commit suicide due
to the psychological impact abortion has on women (Jzonda, 16). All humans have declarative
memory, which is memory for past events in our lives. Speaking from a psychological point of
view, having an abortion will only make the fetus go away, not the memories there were of knowing
there was a baby growing inside of a woman's' body. Abortion never goes away. No matter how
many days go by, time cannot erase murder and what it actually is; an inhumane

Essay On Abortion Should Be Illegal
Throughout the United States, abortion is legal and illegal, because it is such a controversial
topic. America would be better of if abortions were legal nationally and government funded. Rape
victims shouldn't be denied the right to abort a child that they conceived during rape. Rape is a
traumatic experience and victims are often not wanting or ready for a child. If abortion was
illegal, these victims would be forced to birth and possibly keep the baby. These women
shouldn't have to be reminded of this horrible event every time they see their child. In the
National Women's Study, rape victims are also 26 times more likely to have substance abuse
issues and 6.2 times more likely to develop PTSD than women who have never been a victim of
violent crimes. People with mental health issues, like many rape victims may have a hard time
taking care of a baby, let alone an unwanted one. If rape victims were allowed and helped by
government funds to get abortions, they wouldn't have unwanted children, and would be able to
deal with their mental health issues more effectively. If abortion is illegal, women will perform
dangerous self abortions or receive illegal unprofessional abortions. Many women try to self–abort
by using coat hangers, knitting needles, or radiator flush, or by going to unsafe "back–alley"...show

Having a child with health issues can be very costly and timely for parents, and they often don't
have time and money to take care of it. It can also be very emotional to have a child who is

deformities, and it should be there choice to bring them into the world or not. If parents don't think
they can handle having a kid with serious health issues, they shouldn't have to stop there lives to take

Abortion Should Become Illegal
Topic: That abortion should become illegal
Every human being deserves the right to life. Abortion denies innocent children this right.
Sometimes, a variety of terms are used as an alternative to the word "abortion", "termination of
pregnancy" being the most popular. When we refer to this phrase, it suggests that an abortion only
puts an end to a physical condition, when, in reality, an abortion puts an end to someone's existence.
To perform an abortion, a doctor makes a physical attack on the baby living inside the mother's
womb. Clearly, this represents a most vicious attack upon the most basic of human rights – the right
to life itself.
To many...show more content...
These acts upon helpless babies defy many religious beliefs, but you don't need to be religious to
know these deaths involve a profound wrong. Many people do believe and respect that a mother
has a right to her body, but there is also the fact that these aborted babies, born gasping or killed in
the womb just weeks from birth have a greater right to their young life.
Evidently, abortion goes against one of the greatest human rights – the right to life itself. Today, in
Australia between 80, 000 and 100, 000 abortions are being performed annually, unborn children
are being killed. Australia is a country, which prides itself on its record on human rights, and it is
quick to criticize those countries, which deny basic human rights and freedom because of a person's
race or religion. Surely it is wrong and unjust to discriminate against an unborn child because of
their size or because they are hidden from the worlds view inside their mothers. When a tragedy or
loss occurs in our community, leading politicians are quick to point out the value of those human
lives, but they ignore the thousands of killings being performed daily in government–funded
abortions.
It has been believed that abortion will solve the problem of unwanted pregnancies and babies born

Essay On Abortion Should Be Illegal
Contrary to popular belief, I feel as if abortion should be illegal in all states. Abortion should not
be taken lightly. There are helpless, unborn babies being murdered every day. Unable to stop
what is happening to themselves, they put their life in the hands of their makers to do the right
thing and give them the best chance at a healthy life. Before the child is even given a chance at
life, their fate is decided for them. Whether that be stepping up and being a parent, or giving the
helpless child a new home with a loving family that will love and care for them. There is no reason
to take the life of an innocent child. That is murder. It is the equivalent of going out and shooting
someone in cold blood. No matter how its worded, nothing can change the fact that in an abortion a
life is being taken before it has even started. Even then, the mother and father of the child know the

there is one thing for sure, there is no reason good enough to kill and innocent child. Abortions
should be illegal regardless of state lived in or how the parents got into the positon of having a
child in the first place. At some point the parent or parents need to step up and take responsibility
for their actions. There is always more than one option, adoption, being a parent, looking to
friends and family for support and help. Abortion is murder regardless of being six weeks along or
four moths along. Taking a life regardless of the age of the victim is still a crime and should be
pursued as such. For some places abortion is illegal or on the way to becoming illegal. This is the

Why Abortion Should be Illegal
Around the world many women are receiving abortions legally and illegally. I believe receiving
abortions should be against the law, with the exception of rape and incest. Taking the life of an
unborn human being is not only cruel but wrong. The decision of taking another human beings life
should not lie in our hands.
In every society whether it was legal or legal, abortions were used to control fertility. In the United
States it was practiced legally until about 1880, by then most states had banned it except to save a
woman's life. It was widely practiced through the entire period it was illegal. In the 1890's there
were an estimate of two million abortions per year and, one to two million annually during the
1920's–30's. Whether a...show more content...
Illegal abortions are unsafe and account for 13% of all the deaths of woman because of serious
complications. The most common grounds which an abortion is allowed is to save a woman's life, in
situations of rape or incest, and for economic or social reasons. In many circumstances where a
safe abortion is legal, women risk their lives and many die because the obligation had not been
met. In many areas unsupervised uses of misoprostol is being taken by those who cannot access
services. Misoprostol is a drug used for early abortions, to treat missed abortions, and to induce
labor. Every women of every social class seek terminations, typically a woman who ends her
pregnancy is young, white, unmarried, poor, or over the age of 40. More than half of six million
pregnancies each year are unplanned and, about half of them end up in abortions.
There are a couple types of abortions used, one form is medically. In this process you're given
various medications that are intended to end your pregnancy. Women that choose a medical abortion
are willing to undergo a surgical abortion if the first one fails. The medical procedure has a success
rate that ranges from 75–95%, with about 2–4% of failed abortions that require a surgical procedure.
The process involves bleeding, often heavy just like a period, that must be differentiated from
hemorrhage. No matter how much tissue that has passed, a woman must see a doctor to make sure
the process is complete. There's a rare and serious

So for those womans, even though they lose their child because they don't want to deal with one

Should Abortion Be Illegal?
Should Abortion be Illegal? By Falynne Murphy Abortion: "the removal of an embryo or fetus
from the uterus in order to end a pregnancy." Is abortion murder? Do you believe in a women's
right to chose? This topic has been an argument since 1500 BCE. What do you think or feel is the
right decision regarding abortion? There are many arguments that are pro–abortion and there are also
many that oppose abortion. "If women become pregnant, they should accept the responsibility that
comes with producing a child" (ethics – Abortion: Responsibility of the Mother." BBC, BBC,),
abortion should be illegal. The earliest recorded ban on an abortion making the act illegal is from
the 11th century. The ban made it illegal for married women to get abortions without approval
from their husbands. Does this ban make the act illegal or maybe just immoral? In the US
Constitution, it states that every person has the right to life, " ... nor be deprived of life, liberty,
or property without due process of law." Even though the none developed baby can't advocate for
itself the embryo is a living, feeling, life that has a right to choose their existence for themselves.
One message that people all around the world promote very strongly is all lives matter. There are
movements, artwork, social media posts, and even articles written, there are many ways people
promote the motto "all lives matter." One thing abortion hints towards is that a human life is
disposable. There are many forms of birth control to keep a baby from even becoming a living
thing. In abortion, the baby is already a living cell, which you then kill because it is inconvenient for
the woman to be having a child at that moment in time. For a culture that nurtures "all lives matter"
so abundantly and then to turn around and be contempt with disposing of a human life is
contradicting. In some cases, women use abortion to get rid of a baby with genetic abnormalities,
also known as birth defects, which is pure discrimination. Some genetic abnormalities that can occur
with babies are down syndrome, Fragile x syndrome (a mental impairment that ranges from learning
disabilities to intellectual disabilities also known as mental retardation), and Spina Bifida (the

Abortion is a tough subject, especially because it is very controversial and many people have
their own beliefs about it. But for the people who are for abortion don't understand that it's
murder. Or maybe they do and thinks it's okay to kill a baby because of their life situation. A
child's life means the world, they may not have a voice to speak up and say they deserve a chance
to live that's why it is important to have the baby and seek other options. So, I am against abortion, it
is wrong and people should not even consider the thought of it due to it being the easy way out.
Abortion should be illegal because it is wrong without parental consent, the rights of a child, and it's
murder.
If a teen is pregnant and the parents know that their daughter will be expecting, than it should be fine
depending on how the parents feel. However, being slick on getting an abortion without the parent's
consent is completely impolite . Teresa Stanton Collett, "Transporting Minors for Immoral Purposes:
The Case for the Child Custody Protection Act & the Child Interstate Abortion Notification Act,"
January 9, 200 claimed that, "Adolescents are often reluctant to inform their parents about any action
that they know would displease or disappoint them. Therefore, it is not surprising that adolescents
are fearful of their parents' disapproval or disappointment upon learning of a minor daughter's
pregnancy..." (Collett). Although, the child is afraid of what their parents might declare, they

Abortion Should Be Illegal Essay

  • 1. Why We Should Abortion Be Illegal Imagine if a baby was killed right in front of your eyes. This is essentially what is happening during abortion. Abortion should be illegal because innocent babies are being killed. Others may say that abortion should be legal, so that women who have been raped and conceived a child may get rid of the reminder of their raping. The answer to this is simple. The mother can give the baby up for adoption. Many people in the world are looking to adopt kids because they are not able to have kids of their own. Abortion is wrong because it is essentially murder. "Abortion is wrong because we are killing our completely innocent offspring" says Josiah. All unborn babies are innocent and women should not be given the choice to kill them. Abortion should be...show more content... They do this because they know most women would react differently after they completely understood that they were killing another human being. "Often used are dehumanizing phrases such as 'clump of tissue' or 'product of conception' used specifically to mask the fact that the mother will be killing her child. Giving false medical information is another common tactic. And it's all designed to rob the unborn baby of his or her inherent humanity" said Cassy Fiano. It is wrong to give false medical information because the mother should fully understand the consequences of their actions. They should know they're killing a baby. Many people may think that abortion should be legal because people should have choice. People say that in certain circumstances that the mother may get raped and conceive a child. The answer to that is simple, give the baby up for adoption. In the end there should never be a choice for anyone to kill another human being. There is no choice for killing anyone else, and it should especially be enforced during abortion because the mothers are killing their Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Abortion : Legal Or Illegal? Michael Paladino English "Abortion: Legal or Illegal?" Prior to the famous Roe vs. Wade case in 1973, abortion was legal in 20 states and illegal in the remaining 30. After the case, the Supreme Court decided to legalize abortion. By definition, abortion is "the termination of a pregnancy after, accompanied by, resulting in, or closely followed by the death of the embryo or fetus." Other terminology, such as pro–life, is defined as "opposed to abortion," while pro–choice is "believing that pregnant women should have the right to choose to have an abortion." Abortion is an extremely controversial topic with such extreme opposing views that it can never reach a satisfying consensus for all citizens. Whether abortion should be legal or not because it mostly comes down to one's opinion and morals, which vary from person to person. The two opposing views have a lot of support for their reasoning behind their opinions, but the main gist of it is that pro–choice believers think that making abortion illegal is unfair and unjust because that takes away a woman's freedom to make her own choices. On the other hand, pro–life believers think that an abortion is equivalent to murder and that since the mother is able to make a decision to kill her baby, the law should be the baby's voice and decide to stay alive. With thorough research, I dove deeper into this topic and tried to come to a conclusion as to whether or not abortion should be legal or illegal. • 3. Abortion Should Be Illegal Why Abortion Should Be Illegal While abortion is currently legal in the United States, ideologically, it should not be legal as it is considered to many a cruel and unjust malpractice. Not only is it morally wrong to abort a child due to it being a sin for those with religious beliefs, but it also involves other issues like the safety of a woman's body. However, those who are pro–choice on abortion indicate that since it is the woman's body, one deserves to have the right on deciding whether to have the child or not as they are aware of the consequences before making a decision. In many cases, a woman who aborts has a legitimate reason as to why she made that decision: it may range from rape to not earning enough income in order to raise a child. Ultimately, those are just pitiful excuses that don't give enough reasoning. There are many alternatives on aborting a child such as giving the baby up for adoption to a family who will love and nurture the baby or giving the parental right to a trustworthy family member knowing it will remain in good hands. Consequences post abortion include not only the thought of disposing of the fetus in such a cruel way remaining in your conscious forever, but also one going through severe depression and the risk of the woman's health decreasing at a high rate. Many time, money, and hospital space is being wasted doing the practice of abortion without any care of things that can go wrong. The baby isn't the only one suffering, so is the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Essay about Abortion Should Be Illegal As a young petrified woman sits in the delicate comforting oversized chairs at the deathly abortion clinic, her foot taps anxiously out of control as her heart pumps the blood rapidly through her veins. The energized brain in haste flashes with all of the complications that may happen during this abortion process. As her eyes dart back and forth looking all around the bland room as if everything is standing still, she worries about the abortion which will be taking place any single moment,. This young woman has a major abundance of stress and choices to formulate about her unspoken significant baby before going through with the life changing abortion. An abortion as defined in Merrian Webster's bulky dictionary as the termination of a...show more content... During an abortion procedure, the doctor will use many sharp and could resolve to use not sterilized instruments to penetrate the fetus in the result to free the baby. During this time the doctor could puncture organs, making the woman have serious problems resulting with issues within her whole body. If the doctor does puncture other organs instead of the fetus, complications can be major. "Some of these complications can be immediately spotted, such as a puncture to the uterus or other organs, convulsions, or cardiac arrest. Other complications reveal themselves within a few days, such as a slow hemorrhage, pulmonary embolisms, infection, and fever. Still other complications are long–term in nature, usually the result of damage to the reproductive system, and may result in chronic infection, an inability to carry a subsequent pregnancy to term, or sterility" (Cozic and Tipp, 195). If the sharp instruments do not perforate the organs it could still scrape or pierce the outer layer of the organs, causing bleeding and infection inside the woman (Marcovitz, 85). Other than the infections that can result due to the scraping and puncturing during the abortion, the doctor could even leave limbs or other body parts of the growing baby inside of the woman. "Another risk of D&E is that tiny parts of fetal bones may be left behind in the uterus, also potentially causing tears or infections" (Marcovitz, 85). There are many frightening Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Abortion Should Not Be Illegal Essay Abortion is widely debated across the world and in 1973 Roe v. Wade would start an issue with ethical and legal issues. There are multiple cases arguing why it should or shouldn't be lawful to go through with this procedure. Women should have the right to get an abortion as It is her rights to decide if they aren't able to be able have a child, the woman shouldn't have to rely on anyone else, she should be able to make this decision as they have to carry it for 9 months and endure the physical pain. Abortion should not be illegal because it is justifiable in cases of rape, or when the woman has mental health or financial issues. In the case of rape, it is unjustifiable to say that a woman has to carry a baby when she is forced into intercourse with a man who the woman does not please. For those who say that abortion is so inhumane, why doesn't one simply look at the act of rape as disgusting as someone would look at abortion. The victim is going through enough being forced without choice to have a child if she consumes, so why make her carry the baby for 9 months knowing that the perpetrator has given her this child. I don't think that the women should have to be mentally viable for this child or have to take care of a child that is forced upon her own will. Having a child hurts very much, why put a victim of rape through more pain then she has to endure? Abortion isn't illegal in other countries for more serious issues why should America make it illegal? Someone with mental Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Abortion Should Be Legal Or Illegal Abortions are not an easy topic to discuss, ,many think it is competley unethical while others agree that it should be the mother's choice on what she wants to do. However, these were thoughts on the early pregnancy stage. Doctors now have been giving abortions in the late pregnancy stages as well as the early stages. "Late–term abortion refers to the termination of a pregnancy during its more advanced stages" (Bellaro). If only the debate on whether abortion should be legal or illegal was as easily defined. While no law is in place that limits the access to abortion in general, in 2003, the Partial–Birth Abortion Ban Act became the first piece of federal legislation to regulate a particular abortion method (Kolenc). Those who oppose the Partial–Birth Abortion Ban Act argue that it jeopardizes the health and safety of the mother. They claim that partial birth abortions are less risky than some of the other methods. It may also produce a great amount of stress on the mother because it makes it harder to receive a late term abortion without this method. Nonetheless, all of these procedures that take place for an abortion are proven health risks. They can be very harmful to the mother and cause severe pain to the fetus. Since all abortion bans presented to the courts have been arbitrary as to which procedures they prohibit, many doctors and patients have found loopholes to get around them. For many years, abortion was illegal and considered a form of homicide. Then, in the Get more content on HelpWriting.net

The controversy of abortion has caused or may cause deaths and several violent conflicts between, should abortion be legal or illegal. Abortion is one of the most common medical procedures performed worldwide also known as elective termination of pregnancy (History,2016). Abortion is the destruction of the fetus or unborn child while the child is still in the mother's womb. This procedure can be done almost anyone from the mother herself to back alley, most common, abortion clinics. More than 40% of all women will end a pregnancy by abortion and remains common in the US. But the questions is should abortion be legal or illegal? • 8. Should Abortion Be Illegal Essay Want to know the quickest way to divide a room? Bring up this subject, should abortion be legal, or illegal. Abortion to me, should not be illegal; furthermore, my belief is that religion shouldn't be a deciding factor in aborting a pregnancy and the opinion of others shouldn't have anything to do with it either. Let people do what they want and what is best for them, don't let your belief affect others and don't force your beliefs on them. People wont live their own lives, they want to make the world they way they think it should be, newsflash, it doesn't work that way. • 9. Abortion Should Be Illegal How would you feel if someone had the right to choose whether you live or die? How would you feel if you can't speak up and say whether you want to live or not? How would you feel if you can't do anything to save your life? Millions of human beings around the world, experience that. Women abort their babies every single day, but they don't realize that they have taken a life away. They have committed murder for selfish reasons, as Alveda King said, "..Abortion and racism stem from the same poisonous root, selfishness". I believe that abortion should be illegal because you are taking away the life of a human being. There is absolutely no reason for women to abort babies as a solution to their problems. Whereas others say that abortion should accept in some circumstances. This topic is still a controversial issue now in the world. Although the technology is advanced in modern society, women could nurture the fetus outside their womb, it does not mean abortion is safe now. It might be have a lower risk of death than before, but abortion still hurts women's health and emotions. In general, abortion could be a way of birth control and it also is a personal right for women, yet, abortion is murder which kills living life; it destroys woman's fetus that could no longer be pregnant in the future; it also makes women depressive, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. Abortion Should Be Illegal Abortion should be illegal due to the facts that that it causes psychological issues to develop while damaging many relationships and families. Not only is abortion throwing away an innocent child's life, it often wastes the life of a mother as well. Women are 250% more likely to commit suicide due to the psychological impact abortion has on women (Jzonda, 16). All humans have declarative memory, which is memory for past events in our lives. Speaking from a psychological point of view, having an abortion will only make the fetus go away, not the memories there were of knowing there was a baby growing inside of a woman's' body. Abortion never goes away. No matter how many days go by, time cannot erase murder and what it actually is; an inhumane Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. Essay On Abortion Should Be Illegal Throughout the United States, abortion is legal and illegal, because it is such a controversial topic. America would be better of if abortions were legal nationally and government funded. Rape victims shouldn't be denied the right to abort a child that they conceived during rape. Rape is a traumatic experience and victims are often not wanting or ready for a child. If abortion was illegal, these victims would be forced to birth and possibly keep the baby. These women shouldn't have to be reminded of this horrible event every time they see their child. In the National Women's Study, rape victims are also 26 times more likely to have substance abuse issues and 6.2 times more likely to develop PTSD than women who have never been a victim of violent crimes. People with mental health issues, like many rape victims may have a hard time taking care of a baby, let alone an unwanted one. If rape victims were allowed and helped by government funds to get abortions, they wouldn't have unwanted children, and would be able to deal with their mental health issues more effectively. If abortion is illegal, women will perform dangerous self abortions or receive illegal unprofessional abortions. Many women try to self–abort by using coat hangers, knitting needles, or radiator flush, or by going to unsafe "back–alley"...show more content... • 13. Essay on Abortion Should Become Illegal Abortion Should Become Illegal Topic: That abortion should become illegal Every human being deserves the right to life. Abortion denies innocent children this right. Sometimes, a variety of terms are used as an alternative to the word "abortion", "termination of pregnancy" being the most popular. When we refer to this phrase, it suggests that an abortion only puts an end to a physical condition, when, in reality, an abortion puts an end to someone's existence. To perform an abortion, a doctor makes a physical attack on the baby living inside the mother's womb. Clearly, this represents a most vicious attack upon the most basic of human rights – the right to life itself. To many...show more content... These acts upon helpless babies defy many religious beliefs, but you don't need to be religious to know these deaths involve a profound wrong. Many people do believe and respect that a mother has a right to her body, but there is also the fact that these aborted babies, born gasping or killed in the womb just weeks from birth have a greater right to their young life. Evidently, abortion goes against one of the greatest human rights – the right to life itself. Today, in Australia between 80, 000 and 100, 000 abortions are being performed annually, unborn children are being killed. Australia is a country, which prides itself on its record on human rights, and it is quick to criticize those countries, which deny basic human rights and freedom because of a person's race or religion. Surely it is wrong and unjust to discriminate against an unborn child because of their size or because they are hidden from the worlds view inside their mothers. When a tragedy or loss occurs in our community, leading politicians are quick to point out the value of those human lives, but they ignore the thousands of killings being performed daily in government–funded abortions. It has been believed that abortion will solve the problem of unwanted pregnancies and babies born out of Get more content on HelpWriting.net

My arguments will consists of facts and hidden secrets on to how abortion is truly carried on. • 15. Essay On Abortion Should Be Illegal Contrary to popular belief, I feel as if abortion should be illegal in all states. Abortion should not be taken lightly. There are helpless, unborn babies being murdered every day. Unable to stop what is happening to themselves, they put their life in the hands of their makers to do the right thing and give them the best chance at a healthy life. Before the child is even given a chance at life, their fate is decided for them. Whether that be stepping up and being a parent, or giving the helpless child a new home with a loving family that will love and care for them. There is no reason to take the life of an innocent child. That is murder. It is the equivalent of going out and shooting someone in cold blood. At some point the parent or parents need to step up and take responsibility for their actions. There is always more than one option, adoption, being a parent, looking to friends and family for support and help. Abortion is murder regardless of being six weeks along or four moths along. • 16. Why Abortion Should be Illegal Around the world many women are receiving abortions legally and illegally. I believe receiving abortions should be against the law, with the exception of rape and incest. Taking the life of an unborn human being is not only cruel but wrong. The decision of taking another human beings life should not lie in our hands. In every society whether it was legal or legal, abortions were used to control fertility. In the United States it was practiced legally until about 1880, by then most states had banned it except to save a woman's life. It was widely practiced through the entire period it was illegal. Illegal abortions are unsafe and account for 13% of all the deaths of woman because of serious complications. The most common grounds which an abortion is allowed is to save a woman's life, in situations of rape or incest, and for economic or social reasons. In many areas unsupervised uses of misoprostol is being taken by those who cannot access services. Misoprostol is a drug used for early abortions, to treat missed abortions, and to induce labor. Every women of every social class seek terminations, typically a woman who ends her pregnancy is young, white, unmarried, poor, or over the age of 40. More than half of six million pregnancies each year are unplanned and, about half of them end up in abortions. There are a couple types of abortions used, one form is medically. In this process you're given various medications that are intended to end your pregnancy. Women that choose a medical abortion are willing to undergo a surgical abortion if the first one fails. The medical procedure has a success rate that ranges from 75–95%, with about 2–4% of failed abortions that require a surgical procedure. The process involves bleeding, often heavy just like a period, that must be differentiated from hemorrhage. • 18. Should Abortion Be Illegal? Should Abortion be Illegal? By Falynne Murphy Abortion: "the removal of an embryo or fetus from the uterus in order to end a pregnancy." Is abortion murder? Do you believe in a women's right to chose? This topic has been an argument since 1500 BCE. What do you think or feel is the right decision regarding abortion? There are many arguments that are pro–abortion and there are also many that oppose abortion. "If women become pregnant, they should accept the responsibility that comes with producing a child" (ethics – Abortion: Responsibility of the Mother." BBC, BBC,), abortion should be illegal. The earliest recorded ban on an abortion making the act illegal is from the 11th century. The ban made it illegal for married women to get abortions without approval from their husbands. Does this ban make the act illegal or maybe just immoral? In the US Constitution, it states that every person has the right to life, " ... nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property without due process of law." Even though the none developed baby can't advocate for itself the embryo is a living, feeling, life that has a right to choose their existence for themselves. One message that people all around the world promote very strongly is all lives matter. There are movements, artwork, social media posts, and even articles written, there are many ways people promote the motto "all lives matter." One thing abortion hints towards is that a human life is disposable. There are many forms of birth control to keep a baby from even becoming a living thing. In abortion, the baby is already a living cell, which you then kill because it is inconvenient for the woman to be having a child at that moment in time. For a culture that nurtures "all lives matter" so abundantly and then to turn around and be contempt with disposing of a human life is contradicting. In some cases, women use abortion to get rid of a baby with genetic abnormalities, also known as birth defects, which is pure discrimination. Some genetic abnormalities that can occur with babies are down syndrome, Fragile x syndrome (a mental impairment that ranges from learning disabilities to intellectual disabilities also known as mental retardation), and Spina Bifida (the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 19. Abortion Should Be Illegal Essay Abortion is a tough subject, especially because it is very controversial and many people have their own beliefs about it. But for the people who are for abortion don't understand that it's murder. Or maybe they do and thinks it's okay to kill a baby because of their life situation. A child's life means the world, they may not have a voice to speak up and say they deserve a chance to live that's why it is important to have the baby and seek other options.
