This also includes external factors like external
factors such as status, recognition and attention.
Esteem needs can be fulfilled by providing better
status, appreciation from superiors, etc.
Ego needs facilitates promotion at work, status
and society.
5. Self-Actualisation Needs
These needs lie at the highest level of
hierarchy of needs. Such needs induce a
person to accomplish something special which
others have n or done or cannot do.
3. It includes growth, achieving one’s potential
and self fulfilment.
It enables a person to realize his/her full
potential and drives the person to achieve the
best at any work.
The need for highest level of promotion, the
need to be a leader, the need to accomplish
difficult goals etc. can be included in self-
actualisation needs.
