in Chanderi which is located in Madhya Pradesh. Its
richness is laid in its goose bumping history. Long
back in Vedic period it is a belief that, Shisupal, who
was cousin of Lord Krishna, found these fabrics.
Originally, in the year 1910, a Chanderi muslin saree
was bought by a royal family of Chanderi.
Later, the weavers of Chanderi started producing
these hand spun sarees with the name “Chanderi”.

they use 120s cotton for warp and waftings. Natural,
vegitable and chemical dyes are used by weavers
