2. BMS and ROTC
UTEP’s Army ROTC program has provided many
BMS students with excellent career opportunities
by preparing them with the necessary leadership
and organizational skills required to excel in
today’s armed forces as well as throughout their
life.
3. Requesting a Form104-R
ROTC cadets interested in the BMS program must
complete the admissions process and have their official
evaluation of all transfer credits completed before
requesting a degree plan or 104-R.
The104-R must be completed and signed by a BMS
advisor (Please allow 3 to 5 business days for this
process.)
It is the cadet’s responsibility to notify the advisor of any
modifications to the schedule and 104-R form.
Degree plans and 104-R cannot be completed with
unofficial transcripts.
4. Required courses
The BMS degree plan and 104-R will be designed around
these courses:
MS 3301 Military Science III with MS 3301 Lab
MS 3302 Military Science III with MS 3302 Lab
MS 4301 Military Science IV with MS 4301 Lab
MS 4302 Military Science IV with MS 4302 Lab
MS 3313 U.S. Military History
MS 3401 Summer Field Training (LDAC)
Please Note: In order for a cadet to receive credit for MS 3401, he or she
must register before the summer course begins (Contact the Military
Science Department to register.)
5. Cadets may be required to enroll in a Physical Training
course in addition to the previous courses. Please contact
your Military Science Advisor for requirements.
-All registration for Military Science (MS) is done by the Military
Science Department and requires Departmental Approval.
