The document discusses the differences between the IELTS Academic and General tests. The Academic test is for higher education or professional registration, while the General test is for migrating to English-speaking countries or applying for secondary education, training, or work. Both tests assess English skills in listening, reading, writing, and speaking. The document then provides tips for each section of the IELTS tests, such as reading instructions carefully, focusing on listening rather than grammar, practicing writing tasks, and communicating effectively in speaking.

time in between sections to read the next
questions.
Focus on Listening and not on Grammar or
Spelling

6. Once again, check the instructions very carefully.
Some tasks need you to use words from the text in
the answer, in others you must use your own
words.
Do not be bothered if you are not aware of the
meanings of certain words
At first you may panic if English is not your first
language, you may not know some vocabulary, so
just move on and try to get the complete
understanding of the sentence.
