Scholars and other working professionals inter-
ested in the field of High Speed Jets and its
application in various disciplines of Engineer-
ing. Maximum number of participants is lim-
ited to 20. Hence, the selection will be made
by short-listing the applicants.

person while attending the workshop

2. About the College
Rajalakshmi Engineering College, an autonomous
institution affiliated to the Anna University,
Chennai, was established in the year 1997 under the
aegis of Rajalakshmi Educational Trust, whose
members have had consummate experience in the
fields of education and industry. The College has
grown from strength to strength in the last 25 years
and progressing towards Excellence in Engineering
Education, Research and Development. The College
presently offers 17 UG programmes and 9 PG
programmes, with an annual intake of 1890 students
and 9 of our departments are recognized as
Research Centres of Anna University to conduct
Ph.D. and M.S. (By Research). Ours is one among
the few Colleges to receive accreditation for all
eligible UG programmes from the National Board
of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi. The College is
accredited by the National Assessment and
Accreditation Council (NAAC) with 'A' Grade.
About the Department
The Department of Aeronautical Engineering at REC
is making great effort in imparting knowledge and
skill to meet the expectations of aircraft industry.
The department is offering theory and lab courses
as per Anna University syllabus through qualified
faculty and staff. The department of Aeronautical
Engineering started. Functioning since 2005 and
excelling by producing university ranks in suc-
cessive years.The department has well-equipped
s of high speed jets and
laboratory facilities and faculty to prepare the
students to meet future requirements in the field
of aviation. Currently, the faculty members and
students of the department are involved with re-
search projects funded for 15 lacs by ARDB in
lhe areas of high speed jets and aero-acoustics.
About the Programme
The workshop was intended to provide information
on the flow physics and acoustics of high speed
jets. Also includes discussion on an up-to-date re-
view of the state of the art technology. This will be
a good platform for bringing together the experts
and young researchers in the field. This workshop
mostly targets hands on training sessions on flow
and acoustic measurements in high speed flow for
the participants. The workshop also will cover use
of CFD tools for high speed flows.
Target topics: flow physics and distinguishing fea-
tures of high speed jets; stability in high speed
jets; control of high speed jets; and aerospace ap-
plications of high speed jet research.
