2. PERSONAL PROFILE
Having completed my bachelor degree in rural development over the past year I have gained an in depth knowledge of the whole
area of rural development. I learned a lot from this course and in particular I learned that ‘rural development’ is much more than
people living in rural areas with little or no services. The whole area around ‘Rural Development’ is huge and is something that each
and every one of us can relate to. The course itself considers a people centred approach to tackling rural development issues.
It was particularly interesting to explore all local and global rural development concerns and to review the influencing the
world in general and national policies and programmes. . My main objective is to make use of my knowledge and skills gained
in school and experiences i have with much focus into current practices, with the aim of acquiring success results at the end of the
given work time bound.

5. PROFESSIONAL WORKING EXPERIENCE
a) Moshi District Council Office; Feld Practical Training
Position: Assistant Community development officer
Major responsibilities;
 To act as mediator and solving various conflicts i.e. land and household conflicts
 To coordinate and manage the formation of loan and savings groups
 To coordinate and approve loan application forms
 To attend and coordinate school board meetings and conferences
 To write the annual report of all projects every end of the year.
 To make sure that all report (monthly and weekly) and field report are written on time and sent to Council Director.
 To coordinate all events like campaigning and ceremony to the project
 To support the ward executive Officer in the planning and implementation of planned activities;
 To coordinate closely and report regularly to the ward executive Officer on activities carried out and to fill regularly the
Field Activity Reports in the standard format with needed annexes as: meeting/training participants’ lists, data sheets,
letters, and explanatory technical notes;
 To carry out surveys and monitoring activities with the projects team, participate to internal project activity reviews, report
to the ward executive Officer i.e. WASH and irrigation channels development for local communities
 To keep local authorities informed at District and Ward levels – under the supervision of the WEO - on the status of
project implementation;
 To prepare plan of action and ensure that all activities are done according to the Plan of action.
b). Community Aid and Social Enterprises Consultancy; August – to date
Position: Project officer, HIV/AIDS and Gender
Major responsibilities
 Support the development of peer education training teams.
 Support in the development and piloting of BCC tools and refinement of tools.
 Coordinate and facilitate school Bonanza
 Support the development of a BCC peer education network.
 Finalisation of BCC tools, translation, printing and dissemination
 Training of peer educators and students in health clubs on HIV/AIDS , AB’s
 Support application of BCC tools in communities both in-schools and out-schools
 Develop work plan for project implementation in consultation with CASEC Head of HIV/AIDS unit and partners
 Work closely with zonal TACAIDS Secretariats and other relevant stakeholders for better implementation of the project
 Provide quarterly and final project progress reports
 Provide regular updates to HIV/AIDS department and the senior management on progress of the project
 Coordinate and facilitate Trainings among secondary and primary school student’s on Gender issues, HIV/AIDS, drug abuse
and life skills i.e. stress management

6. RESEARCH EXPERIENCES:
a) Sokoine University of Agriculture under (IFPRI) International food policy research institute – September 2015
Position: Research Assistant – assessing gender stereotypes among African communities.
Major accomplishments;
 Review and translate questionnaires from English into Swahili
 Training on the use of research digital gadgets – CTO for interview and inputting data and play respondent’s game
 Pre-testing of the questionnaires and identification of key informants needed for research from 20 selected district in
Tanzania (was a randomly sample selection).
 Digital pre-listing of the respondent (by using Survey CTO program in digital pre-listing) - automated
 Coordinated Data collection and interviews
 Transcription of the data collected in focus group discussion (FGD)
 Report writing
b) African Initiatives/Community Aid and Small Enterprises Consultancy (CASEC). September/October 2016
Position: Research assistance - Project mid-term review assessing the ‘’change’’ knowledge, Attitudes and Practices
among Pastoral and agro-Pastoral communities (Maasai, Iraq and Hehe) towards girls Education
Major accomplishments:
 Trained on the use of SPSS for data entry and analysis
 Questionnaires review and translating
 Trained on the questionnaires usage
 Coordinated questionnaires Pre-testing
 Collected data in primary and secondary schools in 16 schools with a total sample of 400 people in 4 Districts of Kilolo,
Mbulu, Longido and Monduli , respondents were students, teachers, parents and leaders including the traditional leaders
 Data entry and writing of the field report.
7. PUBLICATIONS
a) Dissertation for a Partial fulfilment of my undergraduate studies - October 2015 to July 2016.
Subject of study: Prospect of youth from poor families to attractive job through education pathway in Tanzania.
Focus of the study: The study need to find out as to what extent, youth who are enrolled to join university studies from
government and private schools enable them to select science related courses. By collecting information of students who
were enrolled in Bachelor of Science in Medicine since they came from various schools that is private owned schools and
government owned schools through Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU).
Other Research proceedings: Questionnaire designing, Questionnaires Pre-testing, Data collection, entry and analysis
and Writing report of the data collected from the field.
