This document describes the person's involvement in several projects including:
1. An iPad application for freight forwarders to showcase products and services to clients.
2. An asset management system for an organization to upload, share, and download assets across Asia Pacific offices.
3. An online portal to track revenue against costs for projects across Asia Pacific markets.
4. Several interactive flash banners and large quantities of deliverables for marketing campaigns.
The person was responsible for project management, communication, documentation, and ensuring projects were delivered on time and within budget.
1. iPad application – ILS Configurator:
Product:
It is an iPad application for the Sales force. It acts as Sales tool for freight forwarders to showcase
their company’s products and services to their clients.
The application works on Wifi and syncs contents whenever the application is online. Releases with
CRM integration is wip and due for release in Mar 2013.

Development:
The iPad application is built on Objective C and connects the CMS system built on Drupal 7.
My Involvement:
- Account management to sell additional function enhancement and manage clients
expectation – main point of contact between client and team
- Project management from end to end delivery (project lead for the UX team, creative team,
development team and optimisation team)
- Came up with strategies from pre-development till post development that addressed
issues/risks with mitigation strategies in place.
- Designed timeline that has key milestones for clients that included content strategy, UAT
strategy and post-launch strategy
- Created documentation (Project Status Report weekly, Systems documentation, Functional
Specification Report, Change Request, Risk Analysis and Issues documentation, Test Case
Documentation and Release Note)
2. Portal on Xinet – Online Catalog Service
Product:
An asset management system that was built for the entire Asia Pacific offices to upload, share and
download assets for repurposing to other markets. This is an internal system that critical thought
was put into so that other departments across the region would be comfortable to use it and at the
same time, serves the main objective of the portal.
This project was the frontier of one of the key strategies for Ogilvy moving forth in year 2013
onwards. The soft launch of the project was well received by the President of Ogilvy AP [video to
come in by 18 Jan 2013].
Development:
Tweaking of existing AMS based in NY called Xinet with new skin involving Ogilvy global security
integration.
My Involvement:
- Project management from end to end delivery (project lead for the UX team, creative team,
development team and optimisation team)
- Gathered information from various MDs across the region and translated them to functions
and features. Some functions were phased out due to timeline, complexity and cost. Hence,
a phased timeline was created that has the priority items released first and wish list items
released into later stages.
- Explored and weighed new ways of development that would fit within given budget and
timeline
- Facilitated communications with the regional team and NY team for security authentication
- Uploaded and amended HTML pages via PUTTY and Dreamweaver
- Came up with a series of soft-launch strategy and actual-launch strategy for Asia Pacific
markets
- Created documentation (Project Status Report with Weekly Report, Use Case and UML
Diagram, Change Request, Risk Analysis and Issues documentation, Test Case
Documentation and Release Note)
3. Portal - Revenue Tracker
Product:
It is an online portal that keeps track of revenue against costs for each and every project across Asia
Pacific markets.
This was an enhancement of what it is today with the new feature of tracking 3rd
party suppliers and
freelancers across the region. The main purpose of this portal is to track the amount of projects that
are being outsourced which could be done in house instead. This would be monitored by the higher
management with aid of reports generated at the end of the month/quarter.
Development:
Tweaking of existing system online using .Net and MySQL with the integration of Ogilvy global
security webservice.
My Involvement:
- Project management from end to end delivery (project lead for the UX team and the
development team)
- Communications with the regional team and NY team for security authentication and
collating information
- UX logic flow that has the consideration for local market as well as the higher management
across the region. The UX involves hours of studying and gathering information from various
levels of management across the region. The information gathering were documented and
later translated into this portal as enhancements.
- Created various launch strategies for local markets and overall strategy for Asia Pacific HQ

4. Intermediate Rich Media Flash Banner – IHG Luxury Escape

Product:
It is an expandable flash interaction banner for different media publishers for yearend promotions
targeting AMEA and AA. These banners were the first of its kind to be developed in Ogilvy AP and
Singapore was used as a test bed.
The project was a challenging one as it required hours of understanding and implementing the
technical feasibility for various media publishers and media agency. This project managed to push
the limits of what media publishing units can do with the current flash technology.
Development:
- Flash programmed in AS2
- Media Mind platform for uploading and testing flash banners
My Involvement:
- Project management involving information gathering across the region to understand on the
technical capabilities of what Media Mind can do with publishing units.
- Surveyed and streamlined process right from brief taking to end delivery to make sure
similar complex projects in the future would have seamless flow. The process was endorsed
by NY and was implemented regionally.

5. Large Quantity Deliverables – IHG/UPS Tactical Campaign

Product:
Multiple deliverables for direct marketing and promotion were implemented for the first half of the
year. Part of the objective was to drive more traffic to a particular landing page by inducing various
forms of touch points like mobile landing page, FB App, EDMs, flash banners and normal landing
pages.
The end result was well received such that Ogilvy won the 2nd
pitch for the 2nd
half of the year.
Numerous teams were noted for their works including the challenge to manage large quantities of
deliverables over a tight timeline with lots of unexpected events happening along the way.
Development:
- HTML for mobile landing pages and EDMs
- eDialog EDM blaster
- Flash programmed in AS3 and Media Mind platform for uploading and testing flash banners
My Involvement:
- Project management that involved in creating a new process to manage a team of project
executives, designers and developers such that the process addressed possible issues/risks
that might occur. Problem solving for various scenarios involving critical path was put into
action and at the end of the project, a refined process map was generated for future project.
The process defined end-to-end delivery mode right from the brief to QC to delivery.
- Worked with EDM blasting engines and webserver based in the US to blast emails and
contain landing pages to test content data. Coordinated with these firms to churn out
deliverables and iron out assumptions.
- Did forecast on the budget to make sure when extra 3rd
party was needed and that there
was money to outsource to meet the deadline for the campaign.
