- 3. COMFORTABLE
The most important thing while setting up an office is the level of
comfort of your space. Few factors determine the comfort of a
workspace – The Chair & Desk, Atmosphere in the room,
Ventilation, Organized, etc. Comfort level can make or break your
new office. An uncomfortable workspace makes you not want to
work there; hence, you won’t be able to get the job done. Choose
an open space with good ventilation instead of a tight, cramped up
home office space. Make sure the office equipment and the
surroundings are comfortable so you can work with ease.

- 4. PRIVACY
Working in a quiet environment with minimal movement in your
surroundings is crucial in a remote workspace. Too much of noise,
movement around your workspace can be disturbing and leads to
frequent distraction. Lower noise levels, fewer interruptions reduce
distraction and makes you concentrate on your work with
undivided attention. For remote workers who deal with regular
meetings or a job that requires you to be on the phone, you would
need a quiet place with no external noises. Soundproofing your
room will help if you are unable to avoid external sounds.

Lighting plays a big part in any workspace. Good lighting enhances
the mood in the room and makes your workspace full of life.
Unbalanced lighting would make your workspace dull and lifeless.
Natural light is way better than artificial light. Natural daylight is
balanced evenly, so it is preferred over the artificial light since it is
not as versatile as natural light. Having few windows in your office
space will help out with your lighting during the day.

- 6. WORKSPACE & LIVING SPACE
Separate your workspace from your living space. Keeping them
different would benefit you as a remote worker since it will keep
you focused, efficient and productive. When you work in your
living space, you are prone to distractions and are less productive.
Working from your living space can also make you too comfortable
and less efficient. A dedicated office space would get you feel at
work. Use your living space as a relaxation area during a work
break or after work.
