6. What’s new to 2016?
Initiate!
We are constantly working to improve your visitor experience and in addition to the changes to the programme format we will be launching new zones, new themes and new Hubs to the exhibition floor.
The revamped innovation
programme is now Initiate!
Highly praised for its truly innovative nature, the Initiate!
Programme is a separate Hub on the show floor, hosting the
Startup Programme, Young Talent Programme and its own
Hub Session agenda including a multitude of workshops
and networking sessions.
Focused on stimulating innovation and discussion between
new and more established professionals from the industry,
Initiate! provides an environment where discussion,
opportunities and new ideas are encouraged to help the
industry thrive and grow.
Developed in cooperation
with revolution leaders!
With the 2020 Renewable Energy Directive looming, Europe
is gearing up to fulfil at least 20% of its total energy
needs with renewables. The urgency to hit these targets
and the positive results of Cop 21 Paris has unleashed a
huge opportunity for the industry to expand their offering
regarding renewables. This theme is reflected in European
Utility Week as a platform to discuss future scenarios and
concrete solutions to achieve a sustainable future for the
industry.
Best practice and solutions for
sustainability!
Throughout the exhibition and in the Programme, there will be
a focus on the topic Intelligent Buildings Europe. This comes
in response to the growing demand to from Utilities, ESCO’s,
Financiers, Governments, Cities and Municipalities to reach the
common goal on climate change and policy commitments
by improving energy efficiency. This in combination with the
added desire by the companies aspiring to turn green, is a
perfect combination for inspiring discussions and business
opportunities during the event.
