2. He was born on June 4 1863 in a noble Polish szlachta family in the
Podillia region in the village of Sholudky (now Nemyriv Region,
Vinnytsya Oblast, Ukraine)
3. After finishing the Imperial Academy of Arts in Saint
Petersburg in 1890,
he moved to Kiev, where he lived for almost 30 years.
4. In 1920 he emigrated to Warsaw
and in 1928 he moved to Tehran, where
he lived until his death.

was named after him in 1996
9. House with Chimaeras or Horodetskiy House
is an Art Nouveau building has been used as a presidential
residence for official and diplomatic ceremonies since 2005.
10. Architect Vladislav Horodetskiy originally
constructed the House with Chimaeras for
use as his own apartment building during
the period of 1901–1902.
However, as the years went by, Horodetskiy eventually had to sell
the building due to financial troubles, after which it changed
ownership numerous times before finally being occupied by an
official Communist Party polyclinic until the early 2000s.
11. When the building was vacated, its interior and exterior décor
were fully reconstructed and restored according to Horodetsky's
original plans

lived in Kyiv. During those
days he used to come to a
pretty cafe, order a cup of
delicious coffee and just sit
and admire the world. Now
the statue in his honor also
sits in the same cafe admiring
the world.
