3. SWIMMING
It was born in 1931 when in Sofia were held Balkan Swimming
Games with only 2 participants – Bulgaria and Greece.Since then it
remains a very popular sport.The most famous bulgarian swimmers
are Tania Bogomilova and Petar Stoichev – tenfold World Cup
wimmer of swimming marathon.
5. SYNCHRONIZED SWIMMING
Synchronized swimming in
Bulgaria developed, only four
teams in Sofia and four
teams in Varna.
The national competitorKalina
Iordanova became forth in
the Finals in Germany.
6. DIVING
The first competition in Diving in Bulgaria is in
1931 during the Balkan Swimming Games.Till
now our competitors won lots of medals.
8. Rumiana Neikova – 2 gold medals from World Cups in 2002 and
2003, silver medals in 2005 and 2007. On her fifth Olympics,
Summer Olympic Games in Beijing,she became an Olympic
champion in the discipline Skiff
9. RAFTING
It is an extreme sport
that is carried dive boat
on the lush (eg swollen by
snowmelt) rivers.
.There are many rvers in
Bulgaria which provide good
rafting.
14. WATER GAMES IN THE
POOL
Who runs faster?
The game is played in a
pool. After the signal of
the teacher the players
go to the opposite side
of the pool in distance of
12-15 m. During the race
the players help
themselves with their
hands.
16. Water attack
The game’s played in
a swimming pool.
The depth of water is
up to the chest. The
players are divided in
two groups and
lining up in two rows
facing each other
with 10-15 m
between them. Rows’
lines are marked on
the pool walls.
17. After the signal of the
teacher the two rows
holding hands move
towards each other.
After the second
signal the players let
their hands off and
the players of one of
the teams swim back
to their baseline as the
players from the other
row try to catch up
and touch them with a
hand.
18. The player who is
touched gets a penalty
point. After that the
players get back on
their baselines.
Before the game
the teams should
choose different
signals for both teams
so they know when
they chase and when
they swim back to the
baseline.
19. Water relay
The participants are
lined out of the
swimming pool and
after the teacher’s
signal they jump in
the water and swim
certain
distance.Everybody
tries not to be the
last one because
otherwise he drops
out.
20. The game is repeated many times till
there is only one swimmer who becomes
the winner. Water relay develop endurance
in those who are involved.

23. Who can fill the plastic cup
first?
There are two teams. After the signal of the
teacher the players from both teams try to
fill the plastic cup faster using only one
little spoon.

enjoyed a lot playing in and out of water!
