supporting structure

-No additional support in the area of the river (      nice challenge)

-To “haunche“ the girder to the support, more than usually necessary
  Increase in stiffness at the restraint abutement
  Attract the forces to the restraint abutement
  Mode of action like two cantilevers
  Reach an extreme slimness of the visible profile / in the center of the bridge
  Form of the girder is like an arch, which integrates the bridge in the environment

-Cut notches in the girder     more transparency and framework behaviour
-All in all: On the one hand, the profile takes itself back, but on the other

hand the profile sticks out through its outstanding slimness, which
demonstrates the big challenge for the engineers.

-Composite construction is a well known construction method

-The efficient exploitation of material properties in combination with modern
calculation methods should be the planning challenge to reach the absolute
limit of this modern composite construction

-The big advantage is the short construction time
-The main vision is to install the girders in one piece complete
prefabrication of the girders in combination with a oversea delivery, due to
                                                                 delivery
the near to the coast (alternative solution would be a 2-piece delivery and a
welded joint on site - directly in the center of the bridge)
-Through the efficient application of a “l
 Th       h th ffi i t       li ti    f “loosen f  formwork“ (prefabricated
                                                             k“ ( f b i t d
concrete deck elements) it`s possible to pour the concrete deck without an
installation of a scaffold in the area of the river. It`s also possible to avoid
the difficult cantilever construction method.

ECONOMY / CONSTRUCTION METHOD -The big advantage is the short construction time -The main vision is to install the girders in one piece complete prefabrication of the girders in combination with a oversea delivery, due to delivery the near to the coast (alternative solution would be a 2-piece delivery and a welded joint on site - directly in the center of the bridge) -Through the efficient application of a “l Th h th ffi i t li ti f “loosen f formwork“ (prefabricated k“ ( f b i t d concrete deck elements) it`s possible to pour the concrete deck without an installation of a scaffold in the area of the river.
