“What the Church today needs, is a Heart Catheterization…”
Anne Graham Lotz
Church Awakening Conference
March 8, 2013
In Jesus’ address to the Seven Churches, He would give them a “Heart
Catheterization” … so that they might see the “blockages” that were
obstructing the flow of the Holy Spirit through their lives and their
ministry to the world.
We need to look inside ourselves to see if something is blocking the flow
of God's spirit in our lives.
The message from Revelation 1 is a message of hope and assurance. This
was not a vision that John dreamed up on his own, it was Christ's
message that He revealed to the the Church through John.
2. Jesus Christ is the head of the church. He is in control.
Christ's message is to the whole Church, in all parts of the
world, throughout all time.
Don't be afraid. I'm the first and the last, and the living one. I
was dead, but look! Now I'm alive forever and always.
When new life comes to the Church, the world will change. If we are
faithful disciples and followers of Christ, we have nothing to fear.
"I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, “who is, and who
was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”

In a recent study, the Barna Research Group revealed a stunning statistic
4. that continues to reverberate throughout the evangelical world. Only 9
percent of professing Christians have a biblical worldview.
Because of this, today's believers live very similarly to non-believers. A
personal sense of significance is rarely experienced, we spend our money
and time on things that fail to satisfy and we begin to wonder what life's
ultimate purpose really is. We are, in short, losing our bearings as a
people and a nation.
To counter this slide within the body of Christ, Focus on the Family has
launched one of the most ambitious and powerful projects in the history
of our ministry - The Truth Project.
The Truth Project is a DVD-based small group curriculum comprised of 13
one-hour lessons taught by Chris and Patti Ward. This study is the
starting point for looking at life from a biblical perspective. Each lesson
discusses in great detail the relevance and importance of living the
Christian worldview in daily life.
Classes will meet in Room 10 at 9:00 AM beginning April 21. If you
plan to attend, the class will start promptly at 9:00 to allow time for
discussion following the video.

Outdoor Adventures: Ebey’s Landing
on Whidbey Island
Saturday, April 20
Ebey’s Landing was featured on the cover of Sunset Magazine as one of
the best Northwest hikes. It is a relatively easy hike of 3 miles along the
bluff and back on the beach. Those who don’t want to do the full hike
can relax on the beach.
Afterwards we’ll go to Fort Casey for a hot dog roast and a chance to
explore the fort.
Then it’s south for a ferry ride back to Mukilteo and back to the church
about 8:00 pm. Cost is $2.00 per person (cheap!)
Contact Bob or Sandy Clemence for more information 360-668-9002.
