Response to Intervention:   A problem-solving plan so that all students will succeed. Multi-Tiered:  Curriculum Instruction Assessment Positive Behavior Support RtI in Colorado The overarching purpose of RtI implementation is to improve educational  outcomes for all students.
Every  Child  Succeeding
Intensive/Individualized Level   Interventions based on comprehensive evaluation are provided to students with intensive needs Targeted Level   Provided to students identified at-risk or who fail to make adequate progress in general education. Universal Level   Provided to ALL students;  RTI:  Curriculum & Instruction Assessment INTENSIVE MONITORING STRATEGIC MONITORING BENCHMARK TESTING SCREENING

The Colorado Collaborative  Problem-Solving Process Evaluate Response to Intervention (RtI) Problem Analysis Validating Problem Identify Variables that Contribute to Problem Develop Intervention Plan Define the Problem Defining Problem/Directly Measuring Behavior Implement Plan Implement As Intended Progress Monitor Modify as Necessary Gather Data
The Problem-Solving Process ,[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],1.  Define the Problem. What is the problem? 2.  Analyze the Problem. Why is this problem occurring?  3.  Determine and Implement Plan. What are we going to do about it? 4.
