3. Serif font, but in bright colour. Attractive woman. Gossip articles. Yellow grabs attention. Informal Main image- outdoor photo Left third

4. Can of soup makes us think of messy students Dark, dingy colours- grotty student life Sans serif font- informal Modern, funky design and layered effect- aimed at younger people. Bold print- red stands out Informal- no heavy articles. Humorous masthead/title.

5. Recognisable logo in left third. Sans serif, simple. Pink stands out. Sad, dirty looking face generates sympathy. Bold print- grabs attention. Serious issues. Simple- no overcrowding. Little attention to left third. Selling line (not in usual place). Articles broken up with alternate font (bold/not bold). Makes it easier to read. I took inspiration from this.
