Main character gets
kicked out his house
by girlfriend because
he bought her a fake
ring then gets into
trouble with
gangsters because he
needs money and
needs to find his way
out of it.
4. Secondary character:
Name Stacey
-Sex women
-Age 20
-Background she is the girlfriend of
the main character. She is quite
controlling over him and can be
aggressive. She always wants
what’s best for her and no one else
and she is using the main character
for his money. This is modern
representation of a women.
The credits will really show my inspiration from British
gangster films such as Snatch as it uses freeze frames
for each character and posterizes them which is what I
plan to do with mine. I will use freeze frames on the
main women just as she is about to slap his so her hand
will be in the air, the main man cowering, the gangsters
in the car on the way to his house with a straight
face, and maybe use it on his gangster squad as well so
it will introduce them. I wont do to many as it will seem
overwhelming to the audience with all the characters.

Final Plan
narrative
Settings/locations
costumes
I will film in the front
room of my house, the
hallway, doorway, just
outside my house and on
my road.
For my film opening I don’t
really need many costumes as
there are only 4 characters.
Since it is inspired by the British
genre of gangster films I will
only need casual clothes but I
just need to make sure they are
not bright and overly modern.
They just need to be very
subtle.
Main:
Name Jordan
-Sex Male
-Age 19
-background He means well but keeps
ending up in trouble because he’s
slightly unaware. He’s been in trouble
with the police before because he’s
quite easily led. He’s in a relationship
with a women but she is very
demanding which he just doesn’t
understand. He also makes the wrong
decisions at the wrong time which will
once again leave him helpless and
have to find his way out of it.
Main:
-sex male
-age unknown
-Background the leader on the
gangster squad uses people and to get
money and other goods without doing
anything illegal. He finds people who
are desperate for money and gets
them to do his dirty work for him.
The main character askes his girlfriend to marry him but
he uses a fake or cheap ring and since she is very
controlling and aggressive she kicks him out the house.
He is about to meet his friends who he will be living with
when she starts throwing his clothes out the window.
She is annoyed because he doesn’t make enough money
for her. As he is about to walk to his friends car he gets
pulled into a van with the gangsters who want to use
him to commit there illegal deals because he's desperate
for money. you get a clear view of the main gangster and
then the screen blackens and the main title comes up on
the screen And the music plays again.
5. Evaluation of narrative
The opening scene would be of the ring on the floor in focus but everything else is out
of focus. You can clearly see that its cheap and fake. There is arguing in the background
but it’s faint and slightly muffled. It then cuts to the girlfriend with her arm in the arm
about to slap him and a freeze frame is used on that shot. The credit says ‘stac’ short for
Stacey. The voiceover starts on that freeze frame saying something quite comical like
“this is the women who I just asked to marry me” and then it unfreezes and carries on.
Then freezes on the main man being slapped and voiceover carries on “and this is me..”
his credits appearing on screen ‘jord’ short for Jordan. It unfreezes of him being slapped
and then shows him being pushed out the door and the door slamming shut. It cuts to a
mans face in a van looking very stern and not pleased. As he puts a tooth pick in his
mouth a freeze frame is used and the credit says ‘tony’. It cuts to him walking out the
gate but then tilts up to see her looking out the window still shouting. Then cuts to her
face looking straight at her. She then starts throwing his clothes out the window and he
picks them up and walks away. As he walks away to meet his friends who he’s meant to
be staying with two men get out a van and pull him in the back of the van. The next shot
is of the van door being shut looking down the side of the van.
