A heartbeat can be used very effectively to add
drama to a scene within a film. An example I

Here the heartbeat adds emotional drama as it
quickens and is selectively enhanced for effect.

3. Music
Another great technique for building suspense is
music. A soundtrack that starts slow and
mysterious which builds up in pace and volume
leading to a climax often works best. For
