Jim Lacy, State Cartographer’s Office In the Fall of 2011, the State Cartographer's Office started a new project aimed at creating a “blueprint” for a future Wisconsin aerial photography program.Working in close cooperation with the North Central Wisconsin RPC, the Wisconsin Department of Military Affairs, and the Wisconsin Geographic Information Coordination Council, we are developing a comprehensive and participatory information-gathering process that assesses the needs, benefits, drawbacks, and risks associated with a statewide imagery program. Past efforts such as the Wisconsin Regional Orthophotography Consortium have been highly successful, and we hope to learn from that experience, and assess what worked, what didn't work so well, and how it can be improved in the future. Come to this session to learn more about the project, the current status, and how you can get involved.
