Kate Swaffer documents her experience living with dementia and how using WordPress has helped her capture memories and communicate with others. She did not expect to develop dementia at a young age, but it has taken away her ability to remember what she reads. WordPress allows her to blog and have her writing always available to re-read. It has brought back dreaming and opened a channel for dialogue, creating a memory bank. While dementia takes a toll, WordPress continues to make her life interesting and fulfilling.

dementia would
be at my door at

7. We are mothers, fathers,
lovers, daughters, wives,
husbands, employees,
bloggers…
it is a tragedy so many just see our
deficits.
