PREPARING TO TEACH IN THE LIFELONG LEARNING SECTOR Overview 0 Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) is the first step to gaining a ‘Qualified Teacher, Learning & Skills Status (QTLS)’. Who is PTLLS for? 0 This course is for individuals who may not have prior teaching experience or qualifications and who now wish to gain an official qualification. Candidates should have an idea of the subject area they wish to teach.

- 5. PREPARING TO TEACH IN THE LIFELONG LEARNING SECTOR How will I be assessed? 0 This qualification is centre assessed. You will be assessed by both Theory and Practical Assignments, and a 15 minute observation by a qualified teacher. Approved by 0 Oxford, Cambridge and Royal Society of Arts (OCR)
- 6. PREPARING TO TEACH IN THE LIFELONG LEARNING SECTOR Further Prospects 0 The PTLLS can be used as an independent qualification or as a stepping stone towards further qualifications. Students willing to progress to further teaching qualifications can go on to complete a Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (DTLLS).
