- Thank you for giving us your attention tonight. Time is precious and I hope that we answer questions and address concerns that you may have. Please provide us with feedback. Let us know if you believe that this was a good use of your time. You can find the evaluation form on the table in the back. Tonight we will have a brief meeting together as a large group and then you are invited to attend a breakout session with your child’s counselor and student leaders. Let me take a moment to introduce our West Potomac staff that are in attendance tonight.
- Each of you are here tonight because you care about your child’s educational experience. You have taken the first step to ensure your student’s achievement by being involved in his or her education. READ SLIDE

- READ SLIDE and make clear. Check for understanding through tumbs. So don’t listen to your friends or older brothers and sisters.
- How many of you have a story that you like to tell about your days in high school? We all have stories. Some are funny. Some are sad. Some are stories of challenges and mountains we had to climb.
- Your child is in the middle of writing his or her story. What can you do to help write that story. Here are a few area that good stories are developed and what you can do to help make the story a positive story. Address each area

- We have a team of professionals that are here to help you and your child navigate through their high school years. Read the list, offer examples, and how to get in contact with them.
