This document provides instructions for an assignment involving assessing a client family and creating a genogram. Students are asked to select a client family they have worked with, review materials on comprehensive assessments and genograms, and complete two parts. Part 1 involves creating a comprehensive assessment of the selected client family that addresses various areas like history, diagnoses, and treatment plan. Part 2 requires developing a multi-generational genogram extending back at least three generations for the selected client family. Sample assessments and a video on the Hernandez family genogram are provided for reference, though students are to focus on a family of their own choosing.
