changing 3D iPad App with a realistic Deck Rail design feature that allows a user to utilize
augmented reality to envision their deck and rail creations on the back of their homes or in their
own backyards. The free app uses a "visualization marker," downloadable at www.azek.com/iPad, to
allow a user to customize each design with various AZEK Deck and Rail products, colors and even
baluster infills. The result is a virtual, 3D image of what the new deck will look like, in the exact
space it will be built.
Originally introduced in July 2014, the AZEK
iPad App now offers two different 3D
Augmented Reality visualization options. In the
original 3D feature, a user customizes a single-
family home by choosing deck and porch
colors, railing profiles and colors, and even
selecting paver colors and designs for the
walkway and driveway. In the latest update, the
new feature allows a user to actually "build" a
deck by placing the marker at the desired deck
location on the back of their home or outside
area. The marker activates the software and,
with a touch of the screen, the user can add deck boards and desired railing profiles in any chosen
color and with any infill - cable, composite, aluminum or glass. The result is a 3D image that allows
the user to "see" the finished deck as it would appear in the chosen location.
