The good news is that as common it is to see someone suffering from neck
pain, it is also as easy to get relief from the pain through Physiotherapy and
Neck Pain Exercises.
Before we move ahead to talk about neck pain exercises, let us first
understand what are the goals of Physiotherapy.
Goals of Physical Therapy :
1) Educating patients with strengthening and stretching, for tissue healing
and managing pain.
2) Educating patients to preserve the spine and maintaining proper
posture.
3) Accelerating the healing stages.
4) Preventing occurrence in future.
5) Managing exacerbations. If you follow any activity improperly, you may
suffer from flare ups, though with physiotherapy knowledge you can
eliminate these symptoms quickly.
Physiotherapy has proven to be one of the most effective types of
therapy being used currently in tandem with medication or surgery (in
case of severe conditions or accidents).
Exercise is one of the base pillars of physiotherapy and has proven to be
the most effective treatment for most cases where patients have been
suffering from pain.

Neck Pain & Physiotherapy :
You will start feeling ease in around 2 weeks and get recovered from
neck pain in 4-6 weeks.
However, it’s suggested to keep exercising to avoid future occurrence.
Neck Pain Exercises :
1. Neck Stretching:
Keep your body straight; push your chin gently forward, so that your
throat can be stretched. Slightly tense muscles of your neck, maintain
this position for 5 sec. Now get your head to center and slightly push
backwards, make sure to keep your chin up. Hold this position for 5
seconds. It should be repeated 5 times.
2. Neck Tilt:
Tilt head down so that it can rest your chin on your chest. Gently tense
the muscles of your neck, maintain this position for 5 sec. Get back to
your normal position. It should be repeated at least 5 times.
