Yara Birkeland is a fully electric and autonomous container ship that will transport cargo between Norwegian ports. It aims to be the first fully autonomous and electric container ship to operate without a crew. The ship is expected to launch in 2022 and will demonstrate how autonomous ships can reduce emissions and make shipping more efficient.
