SAP Solutions for Small and Midsize Businesses (SMB) Additional
components for SAP Business One General functions in SAP Business One
The market for Small and Midsize Businesses (SMB) is very fragmented. This
means that it is impossible to speak of one uniform SMB market. The
companies that make up the SMB market differ considerably in terms of their
size, the complexity of their IT systems, their industry, and their location.
SAP divides the SMB market as follows:
Small companies that do not prepare balance sheets Advanced SMBs
Sophisticated SMBs Small companies (that is, those that do not prepare
balance sheets) generally do not have specific needs when it comes to business
software. In most cases, these needs can be satisfied by the latest Microsoft
Office applications. Advanced SMBs, on the other hand, need to be able to
model and control their business processes using a software system. SAP has
developed SAP Business One specially for such companies. As a guideline you
can say that SAP Business One targets companies with up to 250
employees. Since the business processes of sophisticated SMBs are more
complex, these companies need a software system that is easy to implement,
yet offers a broad range of business functionality. SAP has developed mySAP
All-in-One especially for these companies. Large enterprises represent SAP's
traditional customer base and many are already using the mySAP Business
Suite.
