latestresearch,conductedamongstpolishdoctorsabout
theusefulnessoftelemedicineasatherapeutictoolindif-
ferentmedicalspecialties.
ThefirstpartwasthePolishTelemedicalProject(grant
no.POIG.01.04.00-04-219/12)conductedtoassessmedi-
calPlatform ‘Moneo’.Itwasbasedonaquestionnaire
filledbyparticipantsinscale1to5.Thesecondstudy
basedonauthors’anonymousquestionnaireswasdistri-
butedamongst105psychiatristsfromPoland

EverybodynoticedadvantagesofMedicalPlatform.ThePlatform’sfunctionalities,ratedasthebestbyhealthcaredirectorswere:educationalma-
terials,appointmentandtherapyplanning.Managersindicatedpartswhichcouldbeimprovedine-prescribingsystem,theprocessofcollectingin-
formationabouthospitalizationsandoperations.FunctionalitiesindicatedbydoctorsasdesirabletoincreasetheutilityofthePlatformaree-pre-
scribingsystem,reportingsideeffects,planningvisits,educationalmaterials.Instudyaddressedtopsychiatrists,only15% ofthemclaimedtohave
anextensiveknowledgeontelepsychiatry,buttheyhadconfirmedthepotentialoftelemedicineinpsychiatry.
Telemedicineisausefulmethod,whichcanimprovequalityofhealthcareservicesandmakeanaccesstotreatmentforallpeople.Weuseitfor
makingwebpageswithdataaboutdiseasesandtheirtherapy,video-andaudiobooks.Moreoverduetotelemedicinewecansavetime,remindpa-
tientsofhealthgoals,makeappointmentplanningaswellastherapyhomeworkmoreefficient.
Almostuniquelydoctorsagreethatvirtualrealitycanbeusefulinthetreatmentofphobias,totreatfearofflyingordrivingacar,treatmentof
PTSD,orincarryingoutexercisestoimprovememoryandattention.
However,lotsofimprovementsintelemedicalservicesareneededtomakeitanefficientmedicaltool.Effortstomaketelemedicinepartof
commontreatmentinPolandarestillinprocess.
Thistechniqueisnotonlyacureforpatientsbutalsoaprofitablemediumtoimprovehealthcareserviceandpatients’self-awareness.
Conlusions
Theaimofthestudywastoexaminedoctors’attitudeto
telemedicineandusefulnessofPlatform ‘Moneo’inthe
therapyoftheareasotherthanpsychiatry.
