2. About the Respiratory system The Respiratory system brings air/oxygen in to the body and removes carbon dioxide. The respiratory system helps us to be able to breathe. The respiratory system mainly consists of the nose/mouth, windpipe and 2 lungs.
3. What Happens? The oxygen enters through the nose or mouth and then passes through the larynx and trachea. Then it splits in to two tubes called the bronchi, and then they divide again forming two smaller tubes called the bronchial. The bronchial tubes go straight into the lungs where they form many small tubes connected to tiny sacks called alveoli.
