In this ebook I am going to tell you about the different technologies I
have used and improved in throughout the process of constructing my
final film opening. This involves physical technologies, such as cameras,
and also computer technologies, such as Adobe program's.

... Physical objects that are part of technology.
Camera Stand
Also known as a tripod. This item is used to stabilize equipment; in this
case, a video camera. This is an essential item as it avoids bumps and
shakes of the camera when recording and also makes smooth pans.
I used this throughout my filming, from start to finish as it gives a
professional shot. At the start I was wary using this item as it was
different to ones I have used before. By the end I was using it perfectly
and producing consistent shots.
As I begun using this item with some knowledge already, I have improved
slightly and learnt how to balance and get the right angle when using a
tripod. An example of this, was when filming over a whiteboard, as I had
to get the right balance whilst also only getting what I needed in the shot.

Lighting Kit
A lighting kit is used in various ways when filming and is used to make
dramatic effect.
Before this project I had never used a lighting kit before and I didn't use
one when filming my preliminary. However, throughout my process I
gained basic knowledge and chose to use them in my final production.
This turned out to be a positive, because it made my final scene more
professional and realistic.
I have learn't how to set up, put away and use a lighting kit throughout
the process of my production and this is something I am proud of.

Video Camera
This is an electronic device combining a video camera and a video
recorder. Because I am only a college student I don't have access to
cameras that are used to produce real life films in the film industry, I
used a camcorder.
I had little, next to nothing, experience with the specific camera I used to
record both my preliminary and my final production, however I did
experience in using cameras for photography and film.
I learnt new skills with formatting and recording in depth with this
camera. And I can now say my camera skills are of higher knowledge.

...is various program's and software's on computers, used to edit, create
and make different aspects.
Adobe Premier Pro
Premier Pro is the main software at my college and I was advised to use
it. At the beginning of my project I had never used this program and had
only used final cut. I found easier and simpler. However, I made the
switch after creating my preliminary. I learn't so many things and know
so many tools within premier pro now, than I did before my project.
I believe this area is my most improved knowledge from this project.
For example, I created various edits in my final production on this
program.

Adobe After Effects
Before starting this project I had never used Adobe After Effects before,
just like Adobe Premier Pro. I began with no knowledge of this program
and ending the project with a large understanding of this program.
I taught myself the tools and different techniques used in the program,
through you tube and trial and error.
The end result of the skills have learnt are shown in my final production;
especially with the animation I created from scratch for the production
company- Yume Productions.

11. Conclusion
To conclude I have learn't to edit, record, film and produce at a higher
quality through doing this project. This was through physical and
computerized technologies that I never used before or had only little
knowledge.
The final outcome of the project was a massive improvement from my
preliminary and is shown through my blog, my progression.
