2. Quality assurance (QA) is a way of preventing
mistakes or defects in manufactured products
and avoiding problems when delivering
solutions or services to customers.
The terms "quality assurance" and "quality
control" are often used interchangeably to refer
to ways of ensuring the quality of a service or
product.
3. Quality system is defined as the organizational
structure, responsibilities, processes,
procedures and resources for implementing
quality management.
Quality management includes those aspects of
the overall management function that
determine and implement the Company

8. Quality assurance Cell is one of the initiatives
of the Higher Education Commission. HEC has
established QAC in 45 Public Sector
Universities throughout Pakistan. All of them
are working on the guidelines of HEC. We
initiate assessment and evaluation of all degree
programmes offered by UE. The cell at UE was
established in 2005 for enhancing quality of
teaching and learning of various programmes
of the university. The cell has started
functioning successfully and progress has been
documented and evaluated.
9. Quality Assurance Cell (QAC) at University of
Education safeguards the standards and
highest quality learning, teaching, curricula,
research and academic operations of the
university to meet the national expectations.
The quality assurance and enhancement is
achieved by the cooperation of all the stake
holders including the students and faculty in
accordance with the guidelines of HEC.
10. The QEC serves the University’s vision of
becoming a reputable center of higher learning
and research, and promoting the development
of ethical, professional and skilled graduates
with leadership qualities in different
disciplines of Pedagogy and Science who
contribute towards the development of the
local and global community.
It has developed a mechanism to judge the
standards of education.
11. Institutions should have a policy and associated
procedures for the assurance of the quality and
standards of their programmes and awards. They
should also commit themselves explicitly to the
development of a culture which recognises the
importance of quality, and quality assurance, in
their work. To achieve this, institutions should
develop and implement a strategy for the
continuous enhancement of quality. The strategy,
policy and procedures should have a formal status
and be publicly available. They should also include
a role for students and other stakeholders.
12. Vision: To develop research based procedure
and practices for quality enhancement in all
academic programs, organizational units,
research and public service contributing to the
recognition of the University of Education.
Mission: To develop into an indispensable and
respected entity of the University recognized
for its professional competence and support in
the quality assurance.

Education Commission of Pakistan.
